Though I will say that as a lead actor, Marky Mark completely sucks. He's always better in a supporting role, except for Boogie Nights, and anyone could've done that movie.

Really? I've always been rather impressed with him. Heck, I even thought he did a really good job in "The Truth About Charlie," and I hated that movie.

He was alright in that, but I hated him in The Italian Job, Shooter, Rock Star, and Invincible.
I've always been more into him in movies like The Departed and I Heart Huckabees, although the latter movie was terrible in general.

Hmmm, Marky Mark as Max Payne. I don't know, he's not really gritty enough. And are the angles suppose to symbolize his decent into death as he shoots down thousands of baddies. I know ross likes his narrative but it doesn't feel like Max Payne to me. The trailer confused me a little, but it looks decent.

I'm kind of mad, because they originally said that they were going to cast Jeremy Irons as Max Payne.
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

This film continues to blow my mind about how bad it will suck. I hear through the grapevine they aren't planning on screening it for critics. Uh-oh... Hitman repeat? Possibly. If it is Hitman meets Silent Hill, I just might have to kill someone.

It's been noted that the Dragonball motion picture preview will be shown at the beginning of Max Payne.

Those flying angels and demons better be part of a dream sequence or else there's absolutely no way I'm going to see this movie. I'm not going to encourage them to go tarnish some more of my favorite game franchises.

I thought they were from a dream sequence (when Max is in the river as seen in the trailer), but several descriptions for the film I've read in fall previews describe the film as Max fighting winged demons... So I don't know... They could just be referencing the trailer.

Max does fight Satanists so i guess he's moving up and taking on satan's demi-minions.

Is Jack Lupino in it? *searches IMDB* I'll be damned he is. Fucking Jack Lupino is in the movie and not Vladimir. WTF!?

Ehhh, they could still make it work...maybe Max gets injected with the valkyr drug and the demons are hallucinations? I know the game isn't exactly realistic, but at least all of the enemies were freaking human. I mean, seriously, would it really be that hard NOT to put demons in the movie? Lame.

Seriously though, why are good R ideas turning into retarded pg-13 marketing material. I mean, Max is being tone down like John Mclain. I get it, hollywood wants to reach to the most audiance possible but could we leave that to people like Marvel and Pixar to do and leave us adults something awesome.

I don't know about you, but I want to keep getting the Blades and Punishers. even if those franchises are going down hill...

Edits have been made to the upcoming film version of Max Payne to bring it down from an R rating to a more traditionally box-office-friendly PG-13, but according to the director John Moore, the changes aren't as bad as we might think. Speaking to GameDaily, Moore said, "That's what's a little bewildering about this, I didn't have to change much." He added, "We trimmed some frames more for the sake of trimming frames than anything, but we got the rating without any major changes at all."
The film comes out on October 17, but Moore said there will be a "Gamer Dedicated Cut" on the DVD version, and presumably on the Blu-ray as well. "It's a little slower and a little more atmospheric," he explains. "There are some rougher edges on it, but it's not going to be a bloodfest. I want this to be the Max Payne I set out to shoot." Moore also notes that the version seen in theaters is "an intense experience," but the gamer-centric DVD will "be as intense an experience with some extra sensibilities for people who really adore the game."
With that in mind, I wonder what specifically sets the two versions apart. More importantly, are the differences going to leave those of us who've played the games with a sour taste when the movie releases in theaters on October 17?
So they shot it PG-13 or a loose R like Die Hard 4? Fuck you, Moore.

They're not putting Vlad in it? What? Vlad made the game sort of clinch it. and those demons, i agree better be the result from the stuff Mona Sax injects him with or a dream sequence cause if it's not then it's not going to be like the game's story line.
Also, when I heard about it I felt like "hey another Sin City"

So, I take the lack of Max Payne posts to mean everyone either didn't see it or also hated it. Good.
