This is my quest. I need to find the time to get to the store and buy the game, because it looks kickass. I was browsing the IGN created character thread they have going, and I saw a perfect Sagat, Guile, Akuma, and Colossus. And it has 62 characters! MUST BUY NOW!!!

I was going to wait for the Wii version, but the PS2 one is out right now and I have EB Games store credit to blow. Unless you can make an extremely strong case for me to wait.
PS: My first created character will be Captain Planet.

Beating an opponent with Dan Hibiki is not nearly as shameful as an utter defeat from Maa-Ti.
My main worry is the fact that mortal combat's fighting engine is a tragedy and the series as a whole is gimmicky. My favorite was the demo of the roaming one they made recently. Ya know, with the bruce lee ripoff and the man with the razor hat? And ya run around and kill demons? I thought the things that made it a bad fighter made it an enjoyable brawler.

I have Deception already, Deadly Alliance is $15, but I'm still getting Armageddon. The game gets good reviews. REALLY good reviews.

MKA is awesome. Kharacter Kreation is also equally good.
Just beat Konquest mode last night. Konquest is the "real" game like it was in Deception. I was surprised that they were able to justify the battle royale in the desert during it. Bad acting aside, MKA has just surpassed Deception as the best new MK game in my mind.

Thank you Tebor. You have just reaffirmed my decision (although it didn't really need it).
On a side note, for people who already have the game, feel free to post a pic of your Kreated Kharacter.

I just wish there was a better way of saving them. One character per profile from what I've been able to figure out. The red and blue kustom avatars on the select screen makes me think there's a way to get two per profile. Until then, it's writing down their stats to recreate later. Luckily, making a character is surprisingly quick and easy to do... that's what she said.

I'm guessing that one Kharacter spot is for player 1, and the other is for player 2, like Soul Calibur.

Wow, I love create a character in games. Ever since the good old days of WWF 2000 and No Mercy. I wish every game like this had create a character, I love making silly retards and awesome dudes. Can you make retarded looking people in MKA?

The character creation in MKA is better than any of the WWF, WWE, or any of those wrestling games. So yeah, you can make retards. Go to IGN, and search in the forums for Mortal Kombat Armageddon. You'll find a character forum, and see a Colossus someone made when they hadn't had anything unlocked. It's almost perfect. All that's missing is the X belt buckle.

Axl Rose. Guilty Gear Axl is cool too though. But if I was gonna make a GG character, I'd made Dr. Faustus.

If I were to make a Guilty Gear character, I'd make either Faust, Potemkin, Robo-Ky, Ky Kiske, Sol, Chipp, Slayer, or Justice.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I got confused. He's called Dr. Baldhead in the Japanese version. Faust is a way cooler name.

Actually, he's the insane, evil Dr. Baldhead in Guilty Gear X. He switches to the Faust name when he regains his sanity and attempts to atone for his sins.

Moves, yes. Fatalities are the same as everyone else.
For moves, you're given about 5 button combinations you can assign to a special move. You also get control of basic fighting and weapon assignments.
Edit: A friend of mine made Indy:

Cool. And, if you remove the hat and add a vest, you have Han Solo.

So, how does the move creation work. Do you assign other character's moves to button combos, or create your own. If you assign other character's moves to the character, then I'm making Kunio (otherwise known as Alex in River City Ransom). Hell, I'm making him anyway.
I'LL KICK YOUR ASS, BITCH!!!

Also, what's up with the new fatality system? Is it better, or worse? I always have trouble peforming the fatalities (I normally use Ermac, and his fatalities have the ever-ambiguous Sweep distance), so are they easier now?
