I love both cake and pie but chose pie because pot pies are delicious. You cant put meat and veggies in a cake and still have it taste right.

Cake vs Pie is too vague. I mean not all cake is good and not all pie is good (or more a less you won't like ever cake and pie). I've eaten a few different kinds of cake and pie. Thee best cake I've had is far better than the best pie I've had. The worst cake I've had is far worst than the worst pie I've had.
I'm just saying it depends...

Cake with too much or too sweet of frosting is nasty. Yellow, chocolate, marble, and DQ ice cream cakes are good. Pies with the right kind of filling are always good. But yeah, you're right it depends. Plus there's so many kinds of cake and pie, but I'm still sticking with my vote to pie, again because of pot pies.
