I am playing this little-known sequel to the Illusion of Gaia right now, and I have to say I am impressed. It not only has arguably the most advanced graphics on the entire SNES, but the gameplay and music is fantastic as well. Definitely play it is you liked Illusion of Gaia and Soulblazer.

Later in the game things sort of fall apart, and the combat system shows how thin it is.

I got into the game for a while, and then I put it down and forgot about it. Fun while it lasted, but it didn't seem to have the holding power. I might play it again someday, though.

Soulblazer annoyed me because you were stuck to one of those invisible grids. Fuck that. That's the entire reason I hate the original NES zelda. And Dig Dug II. Fuck those grids.

I played through Terranigma, and wasn't very impressed. I knew once I had to fight through a bunch of towers that it would get boring, and it did- fast. I still consider Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer as pure 16bit awesomeness, though.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind. |

Terranigma is a pretty kick-ass game in my opinion. I just started replaying it... the only thing that bugs me is how you have to buy magic spells, and even then they only have a one-time use....

Yah, but I love all the sweet moves you get. The combat is awesome as it really succeeds in blending action and RPG elements.

Damnit, now I am stuck at the part where you have to lower the chandeliers to jump on them. I got them lowered but I still can't reach them for some reason. Its one of those hairpullingly confusing moments in any game of its genre and era.
