Now with that screenshot I think we will have a slide, but it will be in the forum of a robot master weapon, much like charge man.

I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom decided to pull a SF4 with the continuety and have MM9 take place between 5 and 6.

Actually, I prefer the original, completely untouched console version, which the downloaded version is. I didn't much care for those little changes made to the games, the most blatant of which was cutting out Mega Man 7's ending, not to mention switching the jump and fire buttons on the Gamecube version.

Why did they cut the ending of Mega Man 7?

Yeah, MonkeyShit games or whatever couldn't figure out how to emulate Mode 7 effects. Meanwhile, there are SNES emulators coded by amateur programmers that can get Mode 7 to work.
But as far as the NES games go, they're almost perfectly emulated (at least on PS2). The only difference I found is the lack of a difficulty select at the start. All the games are set to hard mode by default. You can probably change it in the options menu, but real men play on hard mode anyway.

I remember the disappointment at seeing 7's butchered ending, instead of getting a real finale with the classic walk home and robot master profiles; the anniversary collection had what amounted to

All in all however, Dr. Wily's second form was still a bitch to beat.
