Okay, now, sorry for replying late-late, but my bullshit detector picked up an enormous truckload of bullshit personified by one Stormtrooper2011.

Dude. If you'd go through books like you go through toilet paper, your grammar and spelling would have been perfect.

I should know, I've read pretty much the whole Polish history section of my school libraries. That's like four hundred titles in total.

It is hilarious however it's kind of sad that it's true. My mom loves True Blood and Twilight. Vampires are all well and good however they take it too far. Poetic license has it's limits.

Twilight was a challenge on last November's Desert Bus. For each hundred bucks donated to that purpose Matt had to see Twilight. They made the poor dude watch is like seven times.

(I just won't let this thread die) Apparently there will be another film based on Twilight, and the trailer will be featured alongside a movie whos name I cannot remember. This is a genuis move, as fans of the series will flock to the movie and leave once the trailers over.

all 4 books will be coming to the big screen. the guy playing the main vampire is pretty pissed because he knows he will always be know as the Twilight guy.

You know Robert Pattinson hates the books right? He's now stuck in a horrible situation, but the blame falls on him. Oh well.

There are times when being a woman is a source of personal shame. This would be one of them.

This was so epic fail that when I saw the Donkey Kong emoticon, I heard the "you fucked up a minigame" jingle.

Who wants to bet that Meyer already preordered the sparkly dildo?

That's kind of insulting to the good fanfic writers. If Twilight was a fanfic, it would still be god-awful, and still not worthy of any kind of shit.

Here's something I read today in an author's afterword (the story was about vampires) :
Quote:
If, at any point, you thought the Twilight in the story title was pulled from that infernal Meyer book, please stab yourself in the face.

Yeah, I just wanted a way to plug that somewhere Razz

lava, VERY BAD choice of phrasing given the more recent posts.

Well, fair enough. There are some very good fanfiction writers out there. Fanfiction.net is kind of the Newgrounds of fanfic, though, which is why I referenced it specifically. There may be some very good writers there (and there are), but they're VERY difficult to find, given all the crap you have to wade through to get to them. And the commentators do tend to heap praise on even the gooeiest and Mary-Sueiest pieces, which reminded me very much of the pre-teen reaction to Twilight. Some of the things they say about the book could be lifted right from the comments section of the worst fanfiction.net stories.
