Yeah, Sauran was probably the most powerful melee deck anyone's had aside from my Replenish deck (And that, while powerful, was VERY fragile). The offer's open though. If you make a list, I'd be happy to throw it together so you can play with us. Oh, and don't forget to add Reveillark!!!

Reactor should be on the list too, but out of respect for Spanky, I move to ignore it.
As for mana-fixing BZ, you don't need obelisks, just fetch lands. They're mana fixing aaaaand deck thinning.

aaaand tempo loss. In fact, it's the same tempo loss as Rupture Spire, which is way more useful, and it's a larger loss than the tri-lands from Shards.
Unless you're saying BZ should buy a set of the $20 fetchlands from Onslaught.

Yeah but why have fetchlands when I can have one land that I don't have to friggin' sac to get another one with that I can't use that turn (probably) anyway? That's way better than, say, a land that taps for either one of two types of mana...

What are people's thoughts on Dream Halls for casual? It's one of my favorite mechanics and with all the multicolor and hybrid stuff in recent sets, I bet I could do some really interesting stuff. But is it unfair?

I want to shoot people who play Congregate in multiplayer.
Also, try dropping an Eye of the Storm, Thieves' Auction, or Grip of Chaos at a table with 10 people.

BTW, Syd, I think it's funny that you bitch about the dual lands and BZ doesn't even though you own a full set of 40 of them and he doesn't...

I have no problem with dual lands. I also don't see them as a necessity, and I have no problem with exploiting them. But I could always just play Tsabo's Web or Blood Moon instead of Price of Progress.

Those cards, especially Tsabo's Web, are fine. Price of Progress is not.

AH, Reactor. Good times. Doubling Season, too. Still pretty fragile though, with your goddamn AEther card whose full name I can't remember. The real MVP were the Goblets though.

Yeah, I'll comment here and there if it's out-of-the-way enough and if the conversation is something I'm actually interested in. Trying to keep off the general population radar as much as possible.

A strong sure-win policy. It's good to see you're still around a bit though.

You know, Spanky, since I'll be building PLETHORA's old deck, if you want I could always rebuild Reactor for you to your specifications, if you ever have Tuesday nights free....

I had a friend who played a G/W deck built around the Hermit Druid/Gaea's Blessing engine. He'd endlessly recur Wrath, Congregate, and Gerard's Wisdom, and win with that spellshaper guy who makes all of target player's lands (forests?) creatures until end of turn.

You mean "Gaea's Liege?"

Hahaha, Gaea's Liege.
I think everyone played mono-green Liege/Force of Nature scrub tech at one point in their MTG career.

I quit cold turkey. I really enjoyed playing it but I'm all set. And man, I wish I had nights free but I'm currently trying to get laid and do shows, haha.
