I don't know if it's any better for sports cards (Though I would assume/hope so), but the Beckett Magic price guide was the most laughable piece of shit ever printed, even compared to the ridiculous guides in Scrye and Inquest.

What do you mean, is the BV overvalued or something?

Beckett sports is now a laughing stock, there prices are pretty inaccurate overall, some are too low, some are too high. Beckett has run itself into the ground pretty hard.

I was going to start a whole new topic on it, but it's pretty much the same subject so I'll just post in here.

Back when Conflux came out, I asked Syd that if he ever got a foil Nicol Bolas, he would trade it to me instead of to Jeebus. Because Syd tends to open a lot of mythic rares and a lot of foil mythics strangely enough and Jeebus has enough crazy crap while my dragon deck could really use a foil Bolas. So today Syd traded me a foil Bolas for a regular Bolas and a Polluted Bonds as a bit of a birthday gift to me. Which was awesome since he had not just opened one but found it online and, thinking of what I had said to him, got it with the idea of trading it to me in mind. So not like you can tell from the scan, but here is proof of foil Nicol Bolas and also the foil Sarkan Syd had traded me before because that's pretty awesome too

I'm going to murder you and steal them. It's the only way to finish my foil sets.

#edit: For the record, of the 10 mythics in Conflux and the 15 Mythics in Shards, I only have 3 total foil mythics, and 2 of them are the same one Sad

Yeah, but one of them is an Apocalypse Hydra so I hate you. Wait, I have a foil Nicol Bolas! I laugh at you!

What's the chance of pulling a foil mythic? Are even the bad ones worth money?

Actually, 2 are Apocalypse Hydra, the other is Mirror-Sigil Sergeant.

There should be approximately 1 mythic per 8 boxes, but I've seen far fewer than that. As for the bad ones being with money...define bad. Except Mayael, they're all playable in some fashion. That said, the bad ones are mostly under $10 foiled.
