Heh. I'm guilty of owning the recent DVD box set of that show.

Incidentally, I actually spoke to Captain Lou Albano (Mario), and his agent/manager a while back about having him guest star in one of the "Press Start: Bonus Levels" cartoons, but I simply couldn't afford him. Really nice guy, but his manager was aggressively clueless and thickheaded.

I've come damn close to buying the DVD box set a couple of times... Speaking of which, why isn't there a better quality rip of "Do The Mario" by now? X-E's low-res VHS rip was good 5 years ago, but it doesn't cut it when there's DVDs on the market.

Well to be honest I remember owning a couple of those videos.

One with

Robo Koopa ( its basically Koopa in a buffed out mecha world )
Koopavania ( Cute fire plant ) OOHHHH Scary

And almost came close to owning the Christmas Special.

My mom threw that and a couple of my videos out when we moved. SInce they had roaches and stuff.

I also owned the Starfox shocking Mario special where SONY and SEGA kidnapps Mario and Nintendo people. Me and my cousin would laugh our butts of that watching Mario being shocked the living daylights by a car battery.

The Box DVD set is around like 200 bucks but have been seen to be 300 it contains all episodes inclusing

Super MArio 3

Super MArio World

and anything else before that.

I wish I could get that so much it would go nicely with my other Mario Stuff.

That is the recent version of the boxset. The real box set has over 239 or Plus episodes.

There's only one box set. Anything else is a bootleg. Wait, why am I even talking to you?

And as for Zelda, the whole series is available on DVD, though it's only 12 or 13 episodes.

The box set has 24 episodes, only a fraction of the entire series. No legitimate DVD box set of the entire series has been released. If you've seen one, then it's a bootleg.

I am pretty sure about htis Darkmaze. It was made in limited numbers and was a DVD set. It sometimes appear on ebay ( since it is out of stock) around the price of $400.

The Boxset in the picture is the same craptastic set that you can find in most stores in various packages.

I remember it so cleary and it had a really nice program guide and did not look like a bootleg or whatever it is on Barns and Nobles.

Maybe I am a couple of years behind but that is not the Full box set as you said.

I've always wondered about Zelda being sold seperately... Does this mean that episodes of SMBSS will never be released. The way I remember the show, it ran Monday through Friday with live action segments featuring Lou and Dan. Monday - Thursday, the live action segments were interrupted by Mario cartoons. On Fridays, the segments were interruped by Zelda cartoons. I could be wrong though, perhaps the Zelda show was the entirety of the Friday show. I don't remember it that way though.

No, you're right. The Zelda cartoons did have the live action Mario segments. However, with the Zelda DVDs, they do something... weird. Only SOME of the episodes retain the live action bits. The rest are just the cartoons. I'm almost positive that the episodes where they chose to keep the live action seqments were the ones with the most recognizeable guest stars (or guest star characters, in some cases).

Is that a reference to Winston Zeddemore?

Actually, I was referring to Inspector Gadget (another DiC property), who is played by Maurice LaMarche, rather than Don Adams.
