Fantastic book. It's written in an interesting style, covers a wide time frame and has believable characters. It's more about people's reaction to the zombie outbreak rather than the zombies themselves, which is sort of a new take on the genre. All in all, I'd have to say that it was the most fun book that I've read in a while and would highly recommend it.

And written by Mel Brooks's son!

Yeah. He wrote the Zombie Survival Guide too. That's pretty good, but nowhere near WWZ.

Black Zarak read both of those a couple months ago. I should probably borrow them.

Yeah, you probably should, it's like required nerd reading. They're both pretty good books, he makes a few minor contradictions in the survival guide but actually pokes fun at that himself in World War Z. And I didn't know he was Mel Brooks' son at first but just look at his author photo on the inside cover and it's obvious.

My back log of books to read pretty much promise that I will never read this book. There's a better chance for it if I get it as a gift though. Then it actually gets put in the pile.

Apparently there will be World War Z movie and one of my favorite writers is responsible for the screenplay. I can't decide whether I should read the book now or wait for the movie to come out.

Well, since the book is just a collection of stories told by survivors after the war is over with no real main character and only a couple characters even mentioned more than once, I'd guess that a movie would have absolutely nothing to do with the book besides the name.

Shit, it's going to be Spielberg's War of the Worlds!

As opposed to The Twilight Zone Movie.

I own Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. Even after reading ZSG my Mom still won't let me get a machete.

One of the few things I've got that belonged to my Dad Smile. I'm ready for the zombie onslaught.
