Okay, I know we had a Chess battle here a while back. Anyone interested in playing some Magic through here or on Apprentice? Ever since I've used DSL I could never get Apprentice to connect for a game. As for my box of cards, I'm thinking of just charging a flat 2 cents per card since it's just commons and uncommons without cannibalizing my decks.

Get this:

Magic: The Gathering PC Game, also download the manalink patch which is next to the manual. Then you can play magic online, and it's a sweet version. With all the cards up through 5th edition, I believe.

Alright then, I'll play you in this arena here. I'll build a deck from the Extended that will exist once Future Sight rotates in. However, I think it makes sense to ban the use of cards that have you looking at an opponent's library and the opponent can't know the information gained (like Precognition).

Usually, I'd be onboard for this too but...
A. I'm lazy and can't be bothered downloading stuff
B. I don't know what's currently legal for extended (this goes back to me being lazy)
C. I get my ass handed to me in Magic by Jeebus enough in real life

I still got my Star Trek CCG cards. I think I am the only person who loved that game.
That, and I still have a Spellfire deck somewhere.
So, add me to the nerd-list.
I always sucked at Magic. I never had a deck of my own, I would just build one out of my friends' spare card. Then, when I would win they would call me cheap, because I would usually just build a Red deck with 80% mana, 10% Walls, and 10% Fireball and Lightning spells.

Welcome to the nerd list. Here's your scotch tape, pocket protector, and copy of Star Trek: Search for Spock.

I can't be bothered to sit down with my decks and recreate them for an internet card game.

I still have my Yugioh and Pokemon decks from the days of yore. I took 'em out one day and looked at 'em and thought how the fuck do you play this game?
I'd love to have a Magic tournament. But I too am lazy and don;t want to get my ass kicked. Maybe I'll teach my stupid friends to play and just beat then over and over again.

I just realized I wouldn't be able to run the game on Apprentice (recording each move and countermove on here) because at some point someone else'll need to use the machine and the arrangement of cards in all zones would be scrappd. Looks like I'll just be playing with the stuff I own.

We can just select a time to either meet here and play on the forums or play via IM. IM would probably be better and we can just post the dialogue here. Also, my deck doesn't use anything that searches the opponent's deck, so I have no problem with that. If you wanted to use cards like Exitrpate or Cranial Extraction that's fine as you're either naming a card I can search for or targeting a card in my graveyard I can search for, but stuff like Extract or Hide and Seek may be better left alone.
