I saw it a couple weeks ago. It was definitely one of the better films I've seen in a long time, but for some reason it felt like it fell a little short. I think maybe a bit too much drama? I'm not sure.
[SPOILER:537c576801]The entire sequence involving the space station rotating and then the blackhole (after Matt Damon dies) was easily one of my favorite films in any movie I've ever seen, though. I've never been able to say I was on the edge of my seat for anything else.[/SPOILER:537c576801]
Any of you guys seen it?

I know this is a silly reason not to see a movie, but I've been reluctant to see it because I've heard from multiple people that the soundtrack is melodramatic to the point of being cartoonish. Is the movie good despite it?

This is an interesting way of looking at it. I guess the soundtrack was pretty heavy, sure, but it generally meshed well with what was going on. I think what they're referring to is the use of an organ at various points?
I liked it, although I can see why it might be distracting for some others.

I'm a huge Christopher Nolan fan, so I've been wanting to see it even though the trailers are less than inspiring, but have been too busy to catch any movie whatsoever lately. There's a bunch out I want to see right now too, so it sucks.

This was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Interesting story, good acting/characters. I knew almost nothing about the movie going in, aside from the basic plot, so I was surprised to see certain people show up during the course.

That film is the only thing that Christopher Nolan has ever been involved with that I'd call hackneyed.
That and the second half of DKR.
