Just curious to see what you guys think. I'm keeping the choices to what I can remember being the most popular from the time.

Jumanji and Sandlot were pretty good, but I always watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids a lot growing up.

Honey, I Shrunk The Kids came out in 1989. And I distinctly recall making my feelings on it clear here six years ago. For those who missed that moment, I revile it.

The giant scorpion, ant and Oreo (in that order) are what sold me.

I voted for Matilda, but I also like Jumanji and some other ones on the list.

Had to go with Mighty Ducks. I wore that VHS out.

I think Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is a fairly good movie. It isn't particularly funny, but it is cool that they went with such a realistic approach. And its special effects were great for its time. I flubbed on the date though. I admit that.

Fun fact: When I was a kid I loved Home Alone's scenes where the kid keeps attacking the robbers with booby traps. A couple coworkers and I watched it again a year ago and were shocked at how violent it was, watching the robbers get hit in the head with heavy objects, falling down long distances, and getting electrocuted.
I also remember liking the Sandlot as a kid, but couldn't stand the part where they puke in the fair. That still grosses me out and I cannot watch it for some reason.

...but from that list, it was a toss up between Home Alone and Mighty Ducks, so I went with Mighty Ducks because I watched that one a little more.

I always thought the grossest part of that scene was Ham's shirt being covered in spaghettios. I don't know why I felt that was worse than the actual throwing up part.
Is anyone upset that I forgot Space Jam? I mean, did anyone like Space Jam enough to actually vote for it?

The Mighty Ducks is quite notable because of the fact that a NHL team came about because of it.

I forgot about Space Jam, but I loved it as a kid. If it was on the list, I would have considered voting for that over Matilda, which was what I was being the most nostalgic towards when voting.
Also, the Space Jam 90s website still exists and it's horrible! : http://www2.warnerbros.com/spacejam/movie/jam.htm

I like all the movies that I've actually watched in that poll, but Home Alone is easily my favorite. It's not even a contest for me. Home Alone is the greatest Christmas movie of all time, along with Home Alone 2. Home Alone 3 was alright, but nowhere near as good as the first two. Home Alone 4 can go die in a fire. That movie is pure shit on a pig's dick. Seriously, fuck Home Alone 4. I absolutely refuse to watch the fifth movie.

Batman Returns is the best Christmas movie.
As for Home Alone, I like Home Alone 3 more than 1 and 2. Don't kill me.

Eh, it's your opinion. I may disagree with it (and in this case, I do), but I won't crucify you over it.

I can read, I just chose to ignore the topic of the thread due to not liking (or having seen) any of those movies.

I kept it to live action movies. If I had included every animated Disney movie from the time, this list would be twice as huge. This was made just so we could discuss these movies and their like. Also, fuck Aladdin. The only thing good about that movie is Genie and his two songs.
