It's not a bad discussion, it was just unfunny. Instead of just an LGBT discussion in games, the OP was just a lame attempt at a list and some crass, middle-school level humor, and just got more nonsensical as it went on. Don't try to switch it into "Ha, you're all just too sensitive." That's not it. It was just lame humor. Your other topics are good discussion with good original post set-ups, and I over-reached with my other comment before.
Back to my on-topic-ish point, Hammerlock from Borderlands 2 was a surprising one. I just kind of wrote him off as a quest-giver who served only as kind of a wacky side character whose whole schtick was his English gentlemen adventurer side dipping into a crass everyman once in a while. Then, I found his recordings and was pretty impressed at how well he was characterized in a few audio clips, no to mention the fact that they never beat it into your skull that he was gay. He was just another person on Pandora who survived via guns and gumption, who just happened to have a husband at one point.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind. |

Ok i see that the humor is kind of immature. I just had so much fun writing, also because it is a totally new thing for me and i always liked to write. I wasn't critically enough while i wrote it. But i already took that in consideration. I still think that the list has some funny parts, Kanji Tatsumi for instance and some other lines too

ear, keep in mind we Americans are a bunch of jaded people who have seen it all and our expectations are really, really high and it is very likely that we don't fully understand you because you are European.
Back on topic... Wesker was gay as hell in the original Resident Evil. Barry even stated that he was sleeping with the ultimate failure (tyrant).

Oh what! I actually liked that thread. Why the balls was it removed? Apparently the sydlexia forums are a no-fun zone. He probably waited until he thought no one was paying attention to remove it.

I also found it quite entertaining. Pretty unnecessary to remove it, many users seemed to approve of the thread.

He has also never gotten a Peach equivalent. Why?
|
Daisy. |
God. Daisy is not the equivalent to Peach, she is an alternative. She appears first in Super Mario Land in wich she gets saved by Mario. She is by no means Luigis lover or whatever you will call it. |
Not to mention that she's probably a lesbian. If Luigi's the girlyman to Mario's badass, then Daisy is the tomboy to Peach's pretty-in-pink.

Well Andy Dick was married and has kids, that doesn't mean he's not super gay.

Hai Gaiz. Don't know if this has been mentioned or not yet, but Poison being a Ladyboy was a gigantic ball of "WTF". The official stance from Capcom is now actually "we don't know if this character that we created has a dick or not. Why does it even matter?" TTYL doodz.

Funny as hell. Nice comment on the tobolrone. I loved FF7 but I always thought he was pretty gay. This confirms that.

Luigi was crushing Tingle nearly 2:1 last I saw before it was removed.

All I see is some grumpy motherfuckers trying to suck the life out of this thread and the forums as a whole by shitting on other people with good intentions. Lighten up, this post is only offensive if you take life too seriously. Can't we all just have some fun around here? |
Oh, no. Don't try to turn this into "Oh come on, at least he's posting something, otherwise this place is dead". This is crap. And I'll call crap crap when I see it. I'm not calling it out because "OMG da gayz will complain!". I'm calling it out because it sucks. That's far more offensive to me than some gay jokes.
If it was funny and offensive, then yeah, you can get away with that. But if you're not funny, being offensive just makes it worse. |
Food for thought: When somebody tries something new, especially without prior experience or training, they tend to not be very good at it. Oftentimes an individual will display their effort among their peers in an attempt to gain constructive criticism. Usually those peers would be non objective and offer advice or assistance, as opposed to baring venomous fangs.
I know some of us are smarter than others, or have a better grasp on a certain subject or topic, or may even dislike other forumers and feel the need to hold them down to stoke our superiority complexes, but maybe we should all stop being dicks to each other for five minutes and have a rational human discussion, where we learn from each other and become better people because of it?
