I have mixed feelings about this, I feel that as a lifelong Zelda fan I should be excited for this and anticipate it's coming out, but on the other hand I'm unsure of how close the manga relates to the series, and if the anime will stay as close to canon as possible

I'm okay with subs or dubs. So long as the dubbing is done by someone or a company that can translate correctly

Are you implying A Link to the Past sucks but the manga is cool?

In short, no.
The game would not transfer well to a show of some kind. Or at least, that's how I feel about it. The manga is just better suited to that sort of thing.
I guess the old TV show is rearing its ugly, ugly head in my mind. To be fair, I wasn't exactly clear when I typed that out.
