Nice. I remember watching it when I got home from school when I was 10 or 11. Wonder if they will go with one of the old Toonami line-ups or pick some new shows.

I was excited til I looked, and its basically their exact same Saturday night lineup as always (which I love, don't get me wrong.) I would love to see some oldschool Gundam or Neon Genesis in there with Bleach, FMA and Kekeshi though.

I agree with this, especially Bison.

Yeah, I mean essentially all that's coming back is Toonami bumpers. Still neat though.

Is anyone else seeing Cartoon Planet listed on their cable then tuning in to find something totally different, or is this my cable provider being stupid?

So...they're showing the same shows they've been showing for the last decade or so and calling it Toonami again? Huzzah?

So the execs are still not completely sure this will work and they don't have a lot of money for shows and animation for Tom. Long story short, make sure to watch Toonami this Saturday at midnight. Ratings means money for them.

That was kind of my reaction. I mean don't get me wrong, I adore CN's late Saturday night anime block, but I think if they're going to call it Toonami, at least replace the immediate repeat airing of the bloc with other, more Toonami related shows--Gundam, Evangelion, etc.

There's so much anime out there, why not show new stuff?

Yeah, I totally get that argument. I just enjoy the familiarity. I wouldn't have an objection to new stuff either.

No. They are using Brak & Zorak bumpers for showing Cartoon Cartoons like EE&E, Courage, PPG, C:KND, Cow & Chicken, Johnny Braveaux, with a few Chowders and Flapjacks tossed in.

Most of the Brak bumpers are either random words strung together, or a "song" that repeats the same word over and over. NOTHING like the classic I Am A Cucumber.

So they've basically rebranded anime night for Adult Swim? Huh, not really all that pissed that I don't have cable anymore, then. On the other hand, if I did I would still have it running on the TV just to give them the rating.

I'd like for Adult Swim to bring back their old line up too. Harvey, Sealab, Space Ghost, Home Movies, Brak....etc.
