Ugh. I have yet to see this, but wincing at the prospect now. Last season was almost uniformly good; wtf happened?

Yeah, it's been a long way down from "You're Getting Old." Part of me wishes that was the series finale, if things don't get much better. At least the show isn't outright craptastic like how I feel the Simpsons became at the turn of the century. SP has had its periods of decline and resurgence before, so there's always a chance at another surge of quality down the line.

Yeah. I honestly think those two have a really unique creative process that is very particular; sometimes it goes off like fireworks, and we have a season full of genius; other times they get in a funk or get busy or distracted, and Trae just ends up putting out whatever script he can regardless of quality. This is one of those times. But I think it will get better. It usually does.

I agree that this season has been hit and miss. But I'm still enjoying it. I'm glad you guys cleared up the Kony thing, I had no idea what that was about. Zip lining episode was meh. Chuckle Moments and that's about it.

Okay so zipline was meh. I agree that the live action was horrendous as all hell, but the opening and ending were decent if not memorable. I give it a C+.

OK, this was the kind of silly, fun episode I'd been waiting for all season. Let's hope the next half of the season keeps it up.

I agree. I thought this one was hilarious. I don't know why, but Cartman's Cupid him scenes where he was interacting with it and no one else could see it had me rolling.

It was solid. Funny. Good stuff. Not really a slam-bang-awesome season ender, but at least a return to form. And damn, Cartman, you suck.

Going to the lengths he did to get two people of the same color together...never have I known racism to be such a powerful positive motivation.

I'll agree that this would definitely be a "high" episode after the mediocre to low eps before. That said, the ending with Cartman's delusion actually affecting the real world had me cackling for a good 45 seconds, especially after the phrase "Me want Snu Snu" popped into my head.

Okay, I can overlook the base disgustingness there, because it did lead up to a good ending. But taking the fucking gold mine the NFL handed them and making just one throwaway joke about replacement refs? COME ON!

Was not a fan. The sarcasm thing just didn't work.

Slight disgustingness aside, this still became one of my personal all-time favorites. I love Butters so very, very much. It was so sweet to see him excel at the "being nice" game!

That episode was just great. It was so perfect. Every episode should just be exactly the same as that one. They should play it 24 hours a day 7 days a week just so that all TV can be that good.

I liked it though at parts it felt like an overly long snl skit with randy not knowing how to stop being sarcastic.

THAT I will agree with, although they didn't run it into the ground nearly as bad as they could have. I did enjoy the gag of his sarcasm getting more and more preposterous, and people taking him more and more seriously.

Also after listening to past commentaries and 6 days to air I'm almost certain they pulled that ending out last minute not knowing how to end the episode. It was great, just last minute.

That is the episode they should have opened with. Spot on with the satire. Loved it.

God bless you, James Cameron.

This is the best episode of the season. I'm still horribly upset it's taken half a season to get to a great episode.

What if it's our fault? What if we somehow lowered the bar a long time ago?
