What, in the esteemed estimation of the MTG knowers here, should that sell for?

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

I'm afraid I won't be any help in trying to set a price on that, but I gotta ask... How the hell did you get your hands on a factory sealed box of Beta?

1. Do you have one? If so I can try to get an offer to you. Hint: It's a lot.
2. Is the BOX factory sealed, or is it a box of factory sealed packs? Only about 10% of the print run of Beta booster boxes was actually factory sealed to begin with.

You could quite possibly get 15 grand for it.

I would have guessed 20-25 grand.

I have about a half box of sealed beta packs that I got from a friend years ago (1997) and I have been debating for a long time if I should ever open them. I came really close a few times.

How much can a single pack sell for?

Don't sell it to Jeebus, he doesn't need more cards and neither does his store!

Don't open the packs, AJ. You can search them without opening them.

Do you mean search for what they are worth or find out what cards are in the packs somehow? If I could find out what cards were in the packs I would sell the crappy packs to some tool, lol.

Yeah every pack up through Revised/The Dark can be searched without being opened to see what's in them. Do not EVER buy sealed packs of old product off eBay or from a major vendor, as they have almost certainly been searched and the packs with good rares have all been opened.

atom, the individual packs theoretically go for a lot, but you need to find a sucker to buy them. It is always assumed that they are searched, which is why I asked about the factory seal on the box. Then again, if they aren't searched I'd totally be interested.

I never knew about that searching thing before. I got the cards from a friend who showed me them when I was over his house playing videogames. He knew I played MTG and told me his grandma bought him a box a few years earlier and that his dog ate part of it but if I wanted the rest I could have them. I don't think I would search the packs as that takes all of the fun out of it. I will probably just hold onto them for years until I finally open them one day.

If I ever get them out of my storage container, I might sell them. But I dread having to clean out that thing.
