Their Website wrote:
“Euthanasia Coaster” is a hypothetical euthanasia machine in the form of a roller coaster engineered to humanely – with elegance and euphoria – take the life of a human being. Riding the coaster’s track, the rider is subjected to a series of intensive motion elements that induce various unique experiences: from euphoria to thrill, and from tunnel vision to loss of consciousness, and, eventually, death.

Thanks to the marriage of the advanced cross-disciplinary research in aeronautics/space medicine, mechanical engineering, material technologies and, of course, gravity, the fatal journey is made pleasing, elegant and meaningful. Celebrating the limits of the human body, this ‘kinetic sculpture’ is in fact the ultimate roller coaster: John Allen, former president of the famed Philadelphia Toboggan Company, once said that “the ultimate roller coaster is built when you send out twenty-four people and they all come back dead. This could be done, you know."

Cue the Joker replacing a normal coaster with one of these at Gotham Amusement Park...

I'll stick to breakdancing whilst on fire in a tornado full of giant spiders, thank you.

I had this idea once, except mine killed people by crashing into a wall at the end.

What about just a large blade suspended at neck level at the last ten feet of track?

Why are they acting like this is particularly clever or relevant? I'm sure if you sat me down and paid me to think about it I could envision at least two brutal death inducing carnival rides, three if you let me get lazy and put a giant blender in the bottom of one of these...

Why is this in toys anyways? You can't really consider a killer rollercoaster a toy unless you're a super villain.

Blackout, is that the Hellhole?

Seriously, in regards to the article spawning the conversation, that's the stupidest thing in the world. Just rig a few microfilament lines along the valley of any rollercoaster with a large incline (eg, all of them). Congratulations, you've just decapitated everyone. If you wanted to be really clever, you'd make a banking turn that dumped all the bodies into a large decomp pit or something.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

The ride that Blackout posted is known around these parts as the Turkish Twist.

Seems to me the whole idea of the roller coaster is killing people in a gradual, non traumatic way. Decapitation seems traumatic to me, specially considering the brain has a chance of surviving a few minutes after it.
Also, decapitations aren't clean, have you never played Mortal Kombat? Razz

Ah, I love that movie! Supposedly, it's one of the worst movies ever made but still...

I remember I made fun of my roommate for buying it out of the Wal*Mart Bargain Bin. Meanwhile, I was buying Encino Man, 3000 Miles To Graceland, and Short Circuit out of the same bin.

I would've thought Nothing But Trouble would be a favorite of yours Syd.

You know what would be cool? If the roller coaster track twisted so the you'd be upside down and the track gradually got lower until it grinded your head off on the concrete.

I'm not gonna lie. There was a time when Comedy Central's midday movie pool seemed to consist of nothing but movies starring Dan Akroyd, Chevy Chase, and/or John Candy, so I must have seen this movie like 50 times. It has its moments, but I absolutely HATE the end part where Chevy Chase runs through a wall like a goddamn cartoon character.

The roller coaster should have seats that can withstand extreme temperatures and before the ride ends, it should pass through a giant incinerator, which would eliminate every rider, turning them to ashes, and then show up at the end/starting point completely empty and clean, ready for the next group of riders.

Hahahaha, OK I'll give you that. But Dan Akroyd's dick nose makeup always makes me laugh.

I never realized Tupac was in Digital Underground until I watched that movie. The song they did was good. The movie sucked except for the part where Demi Moore's dog took a shit in the elavator.

I hope that wasn't some sort of backhanded jab at Short Circuit... Neutral
