For Satsui, a typo and a fix:
Around 06:45 - Quickman like to run into walls... --> Quickman likes to run into walls...
Around 10:45 - Metal Blades...can shoot in 7 directions... --> 8 directions... (just tested to clarify; it is possible to shoot in rook and bishop patterns)
Also, in both of your videos, I noticed you took a longer and more dangerous path in Quick Man's stage. This is by no means huge, but it might help on the second laser set's tricky area.
Check out this image I made, in which the green path is similar to what you two did in your videos. It is possible to begin on the left side in regards to frame one. By sticking to the right, you ended up having a narrow escape from a specific laser (frame four). If you stick to the purple path and keep to the left, you'll have a bigger gap between you and the beam of doom (frame five).
Neither of you were killed from this, but just thought I'd mention it.
Also, Satsui, throwing in the "Airman Will Not Die" song...I approve.

Typos fixed, though the second one wasn't so much a typo as a mistake (I forgot you could shoot straight down).
As for the different path on the beams, meh. It's not really "better", just different, and when I was younger every time I tried heading left on the first beam screen it ended badly. You have plenty of time either way.
Just watched your second video, Satsui. Good stuff. Didn't know Crash Man was Clash Man in the original version. From the first video I learned Quick Boomerangs could kill the floor-crawling dudes, as well as how to activate the bird background trick - I accidentally did it once, but didn't try holding both buttons at once.
Minor typos:
03:36 - ...most of it's utility --> its utility
11:36 - Crash Bomber can penetrate his sheild --> shield
*I'm not calling out typos for arrogant grammar nazi purposes; it's something I hope you guys will bring up if you find any in my videos.
After some testing - at least on the English version ROM - Item 2 does work over that small gap, regardless if you use it in midair or while grounded on the white platform. In the latter case, it looks like you'll collide with the last block, but if safely sails over it. Not a huge help in either case, but I'd be a bit surprised if it works in the Japanese version ROM.

It should work on either version, it just ended poorly the first few times I tried it. It does hit the last block if you don't use it in midair.
Okay, I got about 4 videos in to yours, Slayer, and I'm done. You clearly don't give a shit about playing the game or making a decent video or doing any editing whatsoever, so I've given you all the attention I care to. It's sad, since you actually started out pretty decent in the first two vids (once you got out of Airman), and I actually enjoyed your Bubbleman run and laughed at your Crashman one, but after that you just seemed to say "Fuck it". Honestly, if you didn't like they game, and weren't gonna put the effort in, why waste our time?
I really wish I could do this since the original Mega Man games are my favorite of all time but my damn controller for my laptop is busted so I can't go left or right. I will just have to enjoy seeing how other peoples play throughs differ from my own.

Sehk, good stuff so far, but you may want to extend the time on your annotations a bit, particularly the longer ones. And the default white-on-transparent-black is hard to see.
I've already given Fernin his comments. Remember, guys, part of this is to watch other people's stuff and see what they do different from you.
I'll hit Preng's next, though I think I'll wait for a while until other people have finished theirs before watching them.
I'm hoping to have annotations up for my third and final video by late late Thursday night, after all my tests are done and I get a big chunk of free time. I will also add the Syd Lexia thread boilerplate text at that time.
For now, I figured I'd go ahead and compile everyone's video links so far. I have definitely missed some people, and I apologize, but I'm sure we'll get 'em all up eventually.
Satsui, since the boilerplate link directs to the first post in the topic, you may want to copy paste this list to that first post.
As some of the chatroom folks know, my first attempt at recording this was done on difficult (and ended in tears at the Wily Machine, hence me wimping out and doing it on easy). Most of the recording was pretty average stuff, except for this little glitch I encountered...
Sehk, love that first video, you're doing really well for a near-blind run.

Very interesting glitch, Fernin.
I checked out The Cutting Room Floor, a wiki that specializes in cut content and other random goodness in video games. They don't quite explain how to do the glitch or why it happens, but it seems it's possible to 'access' other Dr. Wily Fortress stages through other Robot Master boss rooms.
Check out other videos here if you're interested; there seems to be a theme of jumping through or getting hit through the boss room entrance doorway.

I accidentally entered the glitched Wily Stage 1 from Heat Man's room before. I didn't expect it to happen, so it was the coolest thing ever.
Made my first video today. I'm going through the normal stages with only the Mega Buster because I like to play that way and figuring out which weapon
is effective where is too much of a pain. I'm also playing at a pretty slow pace.

I love when you try to jump through the chain on the spiked things. I think I did that every time I put this game in as a kid.
