Anyone care? Anyone?

Unless it's Whitfield Crane, I'm not interested.

Hahahah Whitfield Crane. I just wikipedia'd Ugly Kid Joe there and apparently they have reunited!

Do i care? No not really.. Velvet Revolver sort of fell off the radar since they've been gone so long.

EDIT: I hope their new singer is someone really ridiculous.

In the shocker of the century, the new singer is Axl Rose!

Ok, I'm interested.

And for what it is worth, I'd pay $15 for a studio album. But get this...

If Axl and Izzy joined up, I'd pay well over $100 for the album. I bet if Axl and VR could figure that out, they could make a lot of money... a real lot... and it wouldn't even have to be good.

1/10/11- Velvet Revolver reveals that they've managed to revive Bing Crosby's corpse, and now the undead crooner is going to be their new frontman!

Who gives a damn?

Don't get me wrong, I like Slash and Duff and Matt. But why call it VR? VR had two albums, and the second one didn't do all that great. I'd say start over and call it something else. Like maybe Slash's Snake Ball. Or just Snake Ball.

Because it seems a lot like Guns 'N Roses. Think about it, velvet is soft, roses are soft. A revolver is a type of gun. They might be awesome musicians, but really, how much do they want to distance themselves from past glory, mmm?

Slash was on 'That Metal Show.' He seemed pretty enamored with that singer from Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy. It'll probably be him.

Which will be the single greatest thing anyone involved in Alter Bridge ever does in their entire lives.

I agree, VR left a bad taste, it would make sense to change the name.

From an interview today:
Quote:
What’s the timeline for making a decision on the new singer for Velvet Revolver?
There’s a short list of people we’re looking at right now but we haven’t made any decisions…. A decision will be made one way or another I would imagine in the coming weeks

More than a year later, this has gone nowhere. They had a one show reunion with Scott... whatever.

Interesting though:

When asked whether the guys were looking for a new singer, Sorum replied, “Yes, we are trying out a guy from England now.”

I hope it is Billy Idol.

I hope it's either Paul Di'Anno or Graham Bonnet.

"In recent news, Slash obtained the Foreigner Rock God Belt and traveled to England to awaken Zombie Freddie Mercury to be the new lead singer of Velvet Revolver."
