Did anyone else ever have one of these weird little things? I saw a commercial on one of my old VHS tapes recently and remembered that I had one or two of them. I wished I had the actual ones to take pictures of but I did some searching and this is a picture of one of the exact ones I had.

There wasn't much of a point to the toy, it was just tiny little action figures and little themed sets in this little makeup compact looking thing. I look back and think of what could have been fun about it, but I was relatively young and my imagination was probably awesome back then.

They also made a cartoon of it. I only remember a handful of episodes and they were actually pretty good, at least to a 10 year old.

It's Polly Pocket for boys. That's all.

I never had the toys, but the cartoon was excellent. Pretty damn intense for kiddie stuff. I liked it.

Fun fact: Max was voiced by Rob Paulsen. I may or may not have an article on this site talking about him.

I had one of those when I was a kid. I remember thinking it would be really awesome to have, then I got it and played with it for five minutes and was like, "Fuck this".

My brother and I had tons of the MM toys. They were great fun, but difficult to play with because the figures were so damn small.

Funner Fact: Skullmaster was voiced by Tim Curry. Someone really should or should not make an article on this site talking about him.

You are so very very right.

I'd volunteer as (I'd wager) the biggest Curry fan on the site, but I'm afraid the fact I DO like him so much wouldn't lend itself to a very good article. :/

Tim Curry also voiced Kilokahn.

Also, he's fat and scary now.

And yet his work, especially on all the audio books he performed, are absolutely amazing.

Yeah but he went from being "It" to reading Tony Blair's biography. *Sigh*

Not every movie or appearance he has done has been magic, but he voiced Gabriel Knight in that fantastic adventure series. He also played Malek in Wing Commander 3, which was awesome beyond measure.

I had that evil mountain/volcano fortress playset, but I forgot what the hell it was called.

Mighty Max was a pretty cool playset franchise. I just wish they'd bring it back.

Tim Curry did a lot of voice work, he was a scientist who later turned into a monster on The Big Guy & Rusty too.

These were fun. I had 3 or 4 of them. I remember that they had a lot of little pieces that I would immediately lose

I never played with the toys but the cartoon was awesome. I used to watch it on USA's Action Extreme Team line up.

I don't think that I ever had any of these. I probably would've lost all the pieces slowly.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened to mine. Same thing with Legos. I slowly lost critical pieces for building sets, or had to use wrong color ones from diffrent sets.

I loved this shit but only had like two of the larger "head" style ones and a handful of the tiny ones that had only like two figures in them. I remember really wanting the two headed dragon monster one that came out later in the line and I REALLY wanted the lava monster in the same series because I seem to remember he was fucking awesome in the cartoon. My cousins had a giant evil looking jet one that unfolded into a huge ass battle station and they always had the pieces spread across the entire house so it was a scavenger hunt to play with it.

Also. the cartoon was one reason my dad thought I watched "too much violent stuff" and resulted in sporadic attempts to keep me from such violence.
