The final event of the football pick season, and it's time for the third annual event of picking the NFL playoffs. The rules are the same as last year, so I copy and paste:

-All picks for the entire playoffs must be in before the -first- playoff game. Up until then, you can change them, but once the first game begins, your choices are locked in.
-Picking the winners in the Wild Card round gets you 10 points per correct pick. Each winner in the Divisional Round gets you 20 points. Picking the Conference Champion gets you 40 points. And the Super Bowl Champ gets you 60 points.
-Only the winners matter. You don't have to pick the exact matchup, so long as the team you picked for that round advances.
-Remember that after every round, the teams are "reseeded". The highest-ranked remaining seed plays the lowest-ranked remaining seed at home in each conference. If you need help figuring out who plays who, ask away.

The Coin is retiring this year, however, the lovable chat-bot Lexiabot9000 will be making picks instead. He's not eligible for a prize, though.

Here's the prizes:
-$10 for the highest score. Ties are broken by most games won, then the prize will be split.
-$20 if the winner gets a perfect score.
-$5 for the person with the lowest score, ties broken by the least number of games won, then by whoever I feel deserves pity.
-Any winner of one of this year's Survival pools (Not Sure, Rydog) or the College Bowl Game Pick 'Em (winner as yet determined), will win double prizes.

That's right, you can possibly win $40! Prizes will be an Amazon gift card.

All picks must be in by January 8, 4:30 EST. Sorry about the short time frame, but, you work with what you got.

Here's the seeds and the first week's matches. Remember, in the next round, the highest remaining seed plays the lowest at home.

I'm playing the odds. When Seattle wins against New Orleans I'll be all set to take the money.

CHIEFS over Ravens 16-14
EAGLES over Packers 27-20

-Divisional Round-

STEELERS over Colts 30-21
SAINTS over Falcons 34-27
BEARS over Eagles 25-24
PATRIOTS over Chiefs 24-10

-Conference Championship-

BEARS over Saints 24-21

Probably wrong because I'm sure the refs will find a way to make sure Brady wins it all again. I am pulling for Atlanta because I want the Bucs losing twice to them to mean something.

Wild Card:
Indy
New Orleans
Green Bay
KC

Divisional:
Steelers
NE
Atlanta
GB

Conference:
Steelers (Fuck Tom Brady)
Atlanta

Superbowl:
Atlanta

Satsui, have you recorded these picks? Don't want people editing their picks. I'm so tempted to right now though with the freaking Seahawks leading the Saints with a minute to go in the 1st half. Hasselbeck looks like Tom Brady out there.

Don't worry, I'm well aware of the only people who have picked the Seahawks. Smile

Good point, though, I'll write them down.

Wow, that was one of the best runs I've ever seen my Lynch just now. Is Seattle really going to win this game? Hilarious.

Crazy, man, crazy.

10 entrants, plus Lexy, not too bad.

Picks thrown up into the OP, I'll do the scores once all the games are done.

Yeah same here. I still can't believe that the worthless Seahawks beat the Saints... I can't see them repeating that feat next week.

Call a team "worthless" enough times, they're gonna go out and prove they aren't. I think that's what happened.

7-9 or not, they are still a professional football team, and despite how they made it they're a playoff level professional football team playing at home that just got their star quarterback back. Thinking they were a speedbump for the Saints on the way to the next round was a mistake, and that's why I went with them.

I do agree, though, they aren't going any further. Seattle is a very different team on the road.
