A thread to discuss everyones favorite card game!

Favorite Cards? Strategies? Questions? Post them all here!

My favorite card would have to be 'Morphing Jar #2'. Its effect (Returning all monsters to the deck and replacing them with the first level 4 and under monsters you draw) has saved my ass countless times.

As for strategy, I always keep a 'Catapult Turtle' and a 'Gaia the Dragon Champion' in my deck in case my opponent uses a 'Castle of Dark Illusions'. Use 'Catapult Turtle' to launch 'Gaia the Dragon Champion' at it's flotation ring and down it goes.

This is that card game marketed by a cartoon where they do nothing but play the card game in question, except it's more extreme and magical in the show, right?

Pretty much. The show teaches you that all the worlds problems can be solved by playing a childrens card game.

The card game is infinitely better than the shitty show. However, I haven't played it in years. Duelist Kingdom, Virtual World, and Battle City are pretty decent, but that's about it.

I played Yu-Gi-Oh once. I was not a fan. Christ, I liked Imajica way better.

Who likes role-playing games? Me. Way too goddamn much.

I remember buying 8 boosters of Legend of the Blue Eyes White Dragon at a Waldenbooks. I pulled a Tri-Horned Dragon (1 per box chase rare) and wound up selling it for $25. Like with most CCGs, I'd like to get in but it's a big money sink and there's also the matter of having a decent player base to join in.

i'm an very ignorant player so i play an "Fairy/Beat-Down"-Deck. Its based on Valhalla, Halls of the Fallen and is a mix-up of many strong Secret-Rare fairy Monsters, like Athena, Splendid Venus, Guardian Angel Joanna etc. It basically sucks but i like to play it.

it was the best of times

I'm currently building a Mask/Lava Golem/Lockdown deck. I have to come up with a better name than that haha.
