Does anyone know why there has been a significant lack of new content on this site recently? Now I'm not trying to bash syd, but seriously, this is a dry spell.

DEAR SYD,

remember this from site news? It was over a month ago.

If you need help with content you could... I don't know, LET US MAKE SOME ARTICLES AND YOU CAN PICK TO USE THEM IF YOU LIKE THEM Very Happy ... but, we all know that will never happen.
... or will it?

... naw, probably not. Crying

I bet he's probably busy with real life stuff, be patient, and read some of the old articles! I've read all of em at least once but they're usually just as entertaining the second time around. Smile

It doesn't matter why he does or does not update. It's his site.

You want to control updates, make your own site. Then you can haue a bunch of people harassing you for updates and submitting thier crap that you don't want.

Yes, I do know what I am talking about.

I agree with the rabbit. Try running your own fairly popular website before bitching about things that you know nothing about.

If you really want updates, donate some luck and caffeine to him.

I think he's busy playing Bratz: The Movie on Wii, I know he has it because I sold it to him.

Bratz: The Movie on Wii is a video game?

I am so confused... also, why does Syd own this... and also, why did you own this... and also why does this exist as a movie or a game?

It came in a lot that I purchased on E-Bay. I was selling my Wii games and Syd SPECIFICALLY asked for it, as well as some other game I don't remember.

I'm sorry, but bitching about people updating is a huge pet peeve for me.

Particularly when you consider that usually, the people whining have never created anything online more than a blog with 3 posts, and their biggest pressing real life concern is whether or not mommy is gonna get them the PS3 for Christmas.

If you're being paid for content, that's a different story, but when you're sharing your creative work for free, you have the right to work on it and release whenever the heck you darn well please.

There are a few issues.

First off, I try and do too much stuff at once, and as a result, nothing gets down.

Second, I've been sick. Not in any serious sense of the word, but I drag myself to work 5 days a week, and I find I don't have the energy to do anything else. It is probably dietary. It may also be that I don't get enough sleep, or good enough sleep. I usually try to sleep 6 hours a night, but I rarely get six hours of uninterruped sleep because my jackass brother stays up until 4 AM - 6 AM and the sound of him opening and closing doors and going up and down the stairs wakes me up.

Third, I get bored easily. Article ideas are only exciting to me when they're new. The longer I work on something, the less interested I become in finishing it.

Fourth, true writing can't be forced. Yeah, I can sit at a keyboard and force myself to throw together a bunch of sentences if I feel like it, but if I'm doing it just to do it, it's disingenuous. If you can't just sit at a keyboard and have the words naturally flow out of you, you're not writing, you're bullshitting.

Dietary? Probably all that Diet Pepsi and the mountain of Pop Tarts you bought. I don't come here for new content anyway, that's just like a pleasent bonus when it does happen.
