Smile I wonder if the littlest hobo could pull a stunt like this

Let's assume it's a mixture of the two!

The dog lives though and is saved by another dog, thats what makes this story so awesome!

I saw this before...What confuses me is this. One dog I can understand making it into this area and getting hit, but then a second loose dog manages to come by the same area AND save the other dog? Really?

I actually hit a dog on the highway. It was one of the most heart saddening feelings I have ever felt. It was at night and it wasn't busy but he darted out from the median and I swurved to miss him but he ran back into my swurve. I got out of the car to see if the dog was still alive, it was but it was a mess :'( I called the state troopers to see if they could save it but he died right when they got there. I don't know if you ever watched an animal die but THAT was sad.

Crying I've never hit an animal, but I have seen horses put down before, and you're right: it's the most gut wrenching thing ever.

That video still makes me happy though...mostly because I fast forwarded to the part where he gets saved. Yay for dogs! Very Happy

One night I was walking home from work. First I saw a stray cat minding its own business, then I notice a guy walking a big dog in the direction toward the cat. the cat saw the dog and bolted, the dog of course gave chase (it was on a leash) and wound up getting hit by a car when the cat shot across the road. I remember looking away at the impact. Fortunately the dog seemed to only be stunned. Part of me wanted to grill the guy about making sure he'd have the animal taken care of, knowing that dog fighting had been busy in my neighborhood but I only asked if the dog was okay, it only seemed to be a limp.
