I like the evil twin one. I'd love to make some but I know nothing about Magic so they probably wouldn't turn out right.

You forgot Longcat. Shame.
And everyone knows JFK was a 2/3 creature, so that card doesn't work.
And to be perfectly honest, simply basing them off existing cards makes them "fair", but also "boring". Part of the fun of making your own cards is making new, balanced cards.

I disagree. 99.9% of all fan-created I've ever seen are pure crap. They're either ridiculously overpowered because they were designed by noobish fanboy idiots, or they're completely underpowered because they need to fulfill some lame thematic joke. Take existing cards and LOLifying them is much more entertaining.

Yeah, I'm with Syd (and myself) on this one. Fan created cards are always either broken or moronic. Granted I have faith in myself as a card designer, but this also wasn't really the medium for showing off actual card designs.
If you want proof of how bad fan created cards are, try researching the very first set of them ever made. They came out either after Unlimited or Arabian Nights. I can't remember the name, but the set was created/printed by fans who either thought it was taking too long for WotC to print new cards or didn't like the way the game was headed, I forget which. To give you an idea of how unbalanced the cards were, even the worst cards in their set made Ancestral Recall look weak.

I wasn't able to find what ones that look like what I'm thinking of, but www.magiclibrarities.com has scans of both a full fan created set with the same story as what I said except it happened after Masques (Except it's all in French, though the first card I could tell was Ancestral Recall), and a few sticker sets that were sold to be attached to regular cards (Which mostly ended in cease and desist orders).

99.9% of them are retarded, but I like pushing for that .1%...
