Does anyone else find it unsettling that this is the third time this year that SydLexia.com has gone an entire calendar month without a new article from either Syd or Val? And with the hundredth still pending, no less.

^ Yep, what he said. Don't get me wrong, I love the content that Syd and Co. provide. But I'm here mostly for the fellowship of the forums now.
I am looking very forward to article 100, however.

I'm busy, busy man who often finds himself in adult situations.
I don't want to give too much away, but many of these adult situations involve paying off bills and loans.

If you don't like the update schedule, make your own website.
With blackjack.
And hookers.

heres a perfectly reasonable answer from JEW himself (found it in this old thread: http://www.sydlexia.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=58719&highlight=#58719) :

It's too bad that new articles almost never come. I wish Syd would release then faster *hint hint* |
quality articles take time (not that I know what quality is ). You have to have an idea worth writing about, you have to do the research, and finally you have to write the article. These things don't just grow on trees. You have to remember too, most sites like this do it as a hobby. Syd doesn't get payed for this, he does it because he enjoys it (I would imagine). Real life comes first. I'm sure everyone that writes for this site has a job and other commitments that are slightly more important than new articles.
everyone except Valdronus. |

Just a thought:
What about guest articles until Syd comes up with something?

Where in the hell did you get that? I looked for hours and I couldn't find it.
And that's just being a poor sport, FNJ.

Well, Eddie, after hearing how special Calvin and Hobbes is to you in the other thread, I couldn't deny you this:

Go nuts. Its my very favorite site when I'm in a bad mood. I'm sure you already have the complete book set, but its nice to be able to call any of them up digitally whenever you feel like.

I think most sites that manage to have a faster article rate have multiple contributors. Haddox's and jeebus's pages just aren't quite enough. And while the forum is fun on occasion, nothing in it rivals Syd's contributions.
I know that Syd has other things to do. I don't begrudge him this. But is it wrong to wish we lived in a world where Syd had time to have new content every week? I don't think so...
