Do you let the sellers know that you're going to review the cereals you buy or just hope they don't find your site?

Using the amazing power of basic motor skills, I open the Ghostbusters cereal box. Then I try and remove the bag from the cereal box; I am unable to do so. As it turns out, the cereal bag is stuck to the inside of the box. I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. It's been at least two decades since I've had Ghostbusters cereal, so I can't say for sure. But in all my years of eating cereal, including my other encounters with expired Ralston cereals, I cannot once recall a time when a manufacturer intended for the cereal bag to stick to the box. So this is probably a very bad sign. |
As I recall back in the late 80's early 90's many cereals had a dot of glue holding the internal packaging to the cardboard box. I think they did it so the bag doesn't come out when you poor. Seems like they figured out it was stupid.

I didn't. I still need to do full box scans and I didn't want to risk ripping it.
I seem to remember taking cereal bags out of the box and turning them upside down before opening them to get at the prize faster.

My thought? Syd's just getting the easy ones out of the way first. The next one will probably be grueling.

Syd might want to keep a clear path to the toilet next time. Something tells me he won't be so lucky.

But the next one shouldn't be all that bad if the end of the last review is anything to go by:

So what is it? A cereal based on a daytime talk show?

Eat some of this stuff without milk and we'll see some vomit, no doubt. I'm telling you, that milk helps it go down easier and is countering some of the effects of long-expired chemicals.

Geraldo Rivera's Scumbits! Comes with a fantastic prize inside, like a broken chair piece, a fake moustache, a voice disguiser that makes you sound annoying as shit or an oddly homoerotic sailing trip with some friends!

Well then if it truly delicious then it should be something really obscure like toxic crusaders cereal.

Watch the last one be A-Team cereal or something.

I prefer Sally Jessy Raphael O's even though they tasted like blue waffles, but they had much better prizes; a red wig, red glasses, a teleprompter that scrolls too fast so you fuck up your lines and the back of the box folds out to a thing of Kleenex.

Ghostbusters cereal brings me back, I loved that stuff and, after a few minutes of looking through some old boxes, I found this:
Had no idea they added the Slimer name to it, most stores in my area stopped selling it before Ghostbusters 2.
I wonder if the next one is Smurfberry Crunch, although I can't imagine any existing non-opened ones tasting good these days. Also, the best talk show host cereal was Morton Downy Jr. Crunch, even if it did smell like cigarettes.

We still haven't seen pictures of him eating it, he could be throwing it out for all we know. It would certainly be the smarter option than consuming the stuff.

I mentioned videos before...in fact I think Syd said he'd do it if he won that Nintendo cereal, but who knows there.

One minor remark, you took a picture of the opened box of Ghostbusters cereal with Mario Galaxy 2 on top of a 360 (and with a Dreamcast in shot), isn't that crossing the streams? Either that or I've been up waaay too long.
