Isaac Yankem's theme was the worst.

This.

I also nominate Eric Bischoff. That might very well be the best marriage of music and character in the history of the WWE, and I'm being completely serious here:

Kane's is also great, I agree.

Worst...gah, I dunno. I can think of a lot of bad ones, but usually they fit the characters well enough that it works. Billy and Chuck's, for example, was awful, and so is Stephanie McMahon's. They still work, but god I hate them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to remember American Males...Jesus Christ that was bad. I have to think this had to be a joke.

Here's a good example of how to completely kill off any credibility someone has. He certainly needed a new theme after he turned heel, but reminding people that he was a heel in his theme just sucked. Listening closely to it now, it's really a lot like John Cena's Bad Man song.

To me, good music is only good if it sets the tone for your character. Never anymore was that true than for the original Doink. The look at 0:42 is just awesome.

This has to be considered one of the worst:

Kind of catchy, though. I'd love to know what McMahon was expecting Regal to do with that character.

Worst:

Perry Saturn - WCW (When it was just the Air Raid Siren)

Best: (Other than ones already mentioned)

And of course:
(Starts at the 0:20 mark)

Haha I forgot all about Steven Regal being The Real Man's Man. I loved that character. So funny watching him make his own orange juice and such. Also, Big Boss Man's original 80's theme was great. He was certainly me favorite when I was younger, he blew Hulkamania away, I loved that guy. I was even him for Halloween one year. Is it just me, or is he underrated? Either way, here was his theme.

Yeah, that Christian theme was awesome. What bothers me is they rocked it out after a week, and I can't find the original version that didn't have the guitar or drums. Also while I originally hated the Waterproof Blonde "Close Your Eyes", it literally became one of my favorite themes ever.

Also: The really really good version of Hollywood Rock...skip to 3:40 to hear it:

"If ya smell...if ya smeeeeeeeel....if ya smellalalaalalalookatthetonguelookatthetongue...oowww!!!"

i hate to admit it, but i thought kurt angle's theme after people started chanting "you suck" was actually better that way.

... which led to an atrocity in shape of a wrestling theme called "I Don't Suck (Really)!"

I wonder if anyone but me remembers that Angle's WWE theme was originally used for The Patriot, who was a masked wrestler who was pushed pretty high in 97, but then vanished, never to be heard from again.

I also really enjoyed Drowning Pool's version of HHH's theme, which I thought was better than Motorhead's, and is really, the only Drowning Pool song I like.

Remember when Kurt Angle came out and told the fans they were being censored so they couldn't chant "you suck" and we got that horrible bleeping sound during that part of the theme? That was awesome.

I thought Owen Hart's "Enough is enough, and it's time for a change!" thing was really lame.

Then Jason Sensation ripped on it, LOL

Hassan had one of the best characters in recent memory. Then they had to kill it because of politics.

While true, WWE fucked the character up far before the London bombings. Originally, Hassan was just an American Muslim who came out to the crowd and bitched about how his people were patronized for their beliefs, which was a really really good gimmick. He was a white hot heel and literally could've been champion in months, then they feed him to Cena in all of 2 minutes. Hassan then starts turning into a terrorist, for reasons unknown. Then the London bombings happened and they had to kill the character off, just shows me how absolutely ridiculous wrestling booking is. It seriously shouldn't have been that fucking difficult to make it work, and I cannot find a better example of a guy who was more royally fucked that Hassan.

Some of my favorite themes, in no certain order.

Goldust
Mr Perfect
Kane
Razor Ramon
nWo
Hulk Hogan - both Real American and Hollywood
Too Cool
Kurt Angle
Vince McMahon
Eric Bischoff
Slick
Doink - evil Doink
Cactus jack
Roddy Piper
Honky Tonk Man
4 Horsemen

If I played guitar in a band, I would open every show with the Horsemen theme.
