So I bought this bad larry today
Image

The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer!

Usually costs $100, but Target had it on sale for 90 and since I knew I was going to get one as soon as I heard about it and I also figured I wouldn't see it cheaper for awhile if ever, so I bought it. In a few words; it's fucking badass. It doesn't walk on it's own unfortunately, but it packs sound effects, lights, missiles and automatic opening panels on the back. Not to mention room for an ass-load of clones.

More pics
Image
Open cockpit and side doors open (there's another one on the other side.) The cockpit fits one pilot and the forward troop compartment has seats for four figures. The ball turrets are linked to rotate with the two on the opposite side of the head (i.e., swing the left ones inward, the right ones swing outward) and they raise and lower a bit too, as well as firing missiles. The big cannon on top has room for one gunner and lights up the cannon barrel and the gunner's screen green when you use one of the three firing sound effects. The cannon itself has one button which makes a one cannon shot sound every time you push it, so you can make it rapid-fire by quick fingerwork.

Image
Open rear cabin. The three panels that make up the back swing out and down automatically with the push of a button and it plays a hydraulic noise while the doors are in motion and a clone commander shouting "Move out!" when they open all the way. There's a bunch of standing room back here, a couple shallow bins for helmets and such and two gunner yokes for the rear ball turrets (which raise, lower and rotate like the front ones but freely from each other.)

Image
Sideview. The legs are articulated at the hip, knee and ankle, but can't really be posed in any more interesting poses than as seen. Besides the button that releases the rear hatches and button on the top cannon, it has three more sound buttons that make a few sounds each. One makes mechanical stomping noises for way longer than necessary, the second one spouts a few random phrases including "All units, attack!" "Droid army is in full retreat!" and "Approaching droid perimeter, we are undetected." The last one works the main cannon, a long firing burst and a clone shouting "All units, fire at will!" then more cannon fire.

Image
And finally, here it is terrorizing my cat to give you a sense of scale. It's probably right around three feet long and weighs about ten pounds and you can't do much more than look at it and swivel the guns because it's so unweldy, but god I love it. It's not quite the SS Flagg, but it's close.

Quite badass, and a nice collecter's piece if I do say so myself.

There's no way in hell I'd buy it, but it's cool looking nonetheless.

Actually, it's the corner of an air conditioner, there are just random A/V cables lying on the floor next to it. I'm not actually sure what they go to.

A/V cables are quite interchangeable nowadays, I remember when my N64 cables broke, I just used my Gamecube for all 3 systems.

It's actually the kind that bridges two things, the ones with plugs on both ends. If you know what I mean ::wink wink::

Look, this isn't about the AV cables...

what were they being used to bridge?

you know the first batch of ps1's had inputs like that instead of a proprietary cable.

Love the colors. Red, white and yellow are an awesome combination.

Oh, and your Star Wars thingy is cool, too.

Nintendo has used the same connector until the Wii. The Wii's connector is just the same one with added composite inputs.

Red, white, and yellow are the basic colors on North American A/V cables.

Speaking of AV cables I am so happy with newer TVs having the plug ins on the front, anyone else remember having to drag the goddamn TV away from the wall and dig through a rats nest of cables to swap consoles? Mad
