Recently I've seen PARASITE and i think this was a throughly engrossing film. Certainly something all movie lovers should seek out and see. Funny, Nuanced, Suspenseful, and poignant. It really has something to say and the performances are all just great. This is why we go to the movies.
If you like Bong Joon-Ho movies you'll probably love it.

Yea, Parasite is a good movie. A bit hyped though.

I watched the the "1990 Turtles" movie yesterday. Still a fun movie.

I saw Killing of a Sacred Deer for the first time a few days ago. A fun, laugh-a-minute family comedy! (I did think it was really good)

Venom - Not that great of a movie but i give it a pass. The depiction of Venom and his powers were well done, at least.

It's cool that they can bring him into a Spiderman movie in the future.

Metropolis by Fritz Lang

A sci-fi silent movie classic wich inspired many movies that followed, one famous example being C3PO's design in Star Wars.

Needless to say, the movie was fantastic and still thematically releveant.

I saw Hard Boiled (1992).
It's a very well choreographed action movie, "gun fu" style where people leap around like a classic kung fu movie, but gunplay replaces almost all physical combat. Essentially this is two movies: a fun shooter and a gritty cop story.
Things of note:
-In Cantonese, apparently "baby" is pronounced "bb". They say this word a LOT.
-There's a scene where a detective converts musical notes into numbers. Cantonese is a tonal language, and these numbers refer to the romanised method of denoting the correct tone for a word.
-I cried at the end.
