Hey, don't look at me! I voted for Gary Johnson! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The EC actually votes on December 19th and reads the ballots on January 6th, that's all I can hope for.

I know it's a false hope, but I'm doing the same.

Well, we'll see. My biggest concern is his handling of foreign policy/international matters, but I'm optimistic that he'll have a well-informed/experienced crew to advise him.
It will be interesting to see the Republican party have total control for the next few years. I'm doubtful they will actually repeal Obamacare (at least, a friend who performs health industry research seems to view it as a long-term positive), but we'll see.

Well, that was fun while it lasted. Sorry Preng.
Also, motherfucking Steve Bannon is chief advisor. STEVE MOTHERFUCKING BANNON. A literal white supremacist. What the fuck.

Personally, one of the hardest things about this has been that while I finally landed my dream job in government, the president in January is guaranteed to be someone who is unfit for office. Ironic.
This is the problem with the Republicans right here. Even "smart" ones feel guilty, but still think Clinton was as unfit as Trump. I myself don't like Clinton, but let's be fucking real here, she was probably one of the most qualified people to EVER run for President.

Yep, 2000%
You know the other maybe most qualified person ever to run, I'd argue? Al Gore.
Who also, so strangely, won the popular vote but lost anyway. Funny, that.

Hm. I'm not sure. I think he was absolutely the right person to be president as we brought the country into the digital and internet age, for example--he was 100% the right person at the right time for that. Whether he was more or less the right person at the right time compared to folks in the past? That I don't think I can answer. Certainly within my lifetime if nothing else.

I'll be referring to our current president as "45" from now on, as I'm starting to hear a few people call him lately. I think it sounds very fitting for me as I don't think he even deserves the respect of being called by name.
(45 as in 45th president)

So is this country in ruins like everyone predicted with a Trump presidency? I'm not too sure, I seem to be doing just fine.
