Back when I was eight-and-two-thirds, I learned that if a name ends with an "s" and is followed by an apostrophe, the latter is not followed by another "s". More and more, however, I'm seeing that rule thrown aside left and right. I just wish I could tell all these people doing it to their faces.

It's the worst! And it makes me so angry! I'm like a crusader against the inappropriate use of apostrophe s.

Unfortunately for you guys, changes in language come about due to the most common usage. This means that is only a matter of time before the apostrophe "s" thing becomes an accepted proper way to denote possession when it comes to names ending with the letter s.
I agree with you guys 100%, but it's pointless to fight with people who don't know any better and don't care to change their erroneous ways.

Yeah, that annoys me too. I didn't see it until I was proofreading something written by one of the attorneys I work for a year or two ago. I asked him why he always did that, and I learned that it was becoming common place. I was shocked.

Went to a minor league baseball game with a friend that's moving out of state this weekend. It rained the whole time, and our team was annihilated 9-0. Friend wanted to stay all nine innings, which I only did because he was moving.

My experience going to see Ant-Man. I made the mistake of going on Tuesday, which is cheap night. That means that half the people there don't give a fuck about the movie. I was stoked when I heard they where making the movie, more stoked when I heard it would be about Scott Lang, and even more excited when I heard he would be played by Paul Rudd. But ignorance and stupidity ruined the movie for me.
There were two teenage girls behind us who would not shut up. The one girl kept saying shit like "oh WOW" and "aww he's so cute", and the other girl keep asking STUPID questions. At one point in the movie, the villain is kicked into a bug zapper and presumed dead. It's played for laughs. A few scenes later, it shows him get a jolt and start to move and scream. When he shows up not even two minutes later, the girl seriously asked, "didn't he die?". No you stupid idiot, that would have been to anticlimactic, and if you had those buggy little globes burrowed in the front of your face, you would have seen 20 seconds ago that this was not the case.

To make it even worse, some guy in the row behind us had to pee, and GRABBED PEOPLE'S RECLINING SEATS AS HE WALKED BY.

TL;DR I'm never going to the theatre on cheap night again, and one of my most anticipated films of the year was ruined for me.

My wife's parents and grandmother were coming out last week for her graduation. Her parents are hardcore alcoholic right-wingers, and were under pretty strict instructions to chill with the constant drinking and not talk politics during their trip. They lasted four fucking days in my house before they started getting shitty drunk, breaking glasses, and then just went off on my wife over a bunch of bullshit. Long story short, they left two days before she graduated from Full Sail with her BS in Web Dev and Design as a valedictorian, but not before her mother punched her and told me what a piece of shit she thought I was. For my part, chopping that cunt's gin blossom off with big knife didn't end up happening, so I feel I showed restraint, but I know for a fact that I'm going to make sure they get put in different nursing homes in about ten years, and then I'm going to give all of their shit to a charity for gay black Communist teenagers in the US illegally.

That sounds absolutely awful. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that, and that your wife had to have a happy day so tarnished. Tell her congratulations on a job well done from us sydlexians.

Thanks man. The wife's getting some really serious job offers in already, so the jokes on them. Couple hundred less every year for Christmas for me.

I accidentally took a three hour nap when I got back home from work this afternoon. I have to be up at 5:30 tomorrow morning. Crap.

If I ever have to hear "Island in the Sun" by Weezer again, I'm going to set myself on fire.

I like that song, but they have much, much, much better songs. Weezer is fucking amazing, and Island In The Sun is well below their quality.

That can be a little horrifying. Have you tried any kind of laxative?

I have not, but tonight I wound up having diarrhea for like seventeen thousand hours, so I guess it all works out.
