I adore Mad Men. It's probably my favorite show on television. Last night's episode was awesome.

It's so nice to see Pete Campbell getting what he so richly deserves. I want him to become a ruined, husk of a man by the time this show ends. I'm also loving this new, sassy Peggy. She's essentially Don without all of Don's shortcomings.

Yeah, Pete is such a prick, so glad to see bad things happening to him.

I'm glad they didn't write Peggy out of the show, but I feel like we've got too much going on in the way of divergent storylines. We've got storylines with Don's firm, we've got storylines with Peggy's firm, we've got Megan storylines, and we've still got stupid Betty bullshit that no one wants to see.

Eh. I feel like they're doing okay in terms of storylines. I suppose that part of this is coming from my fanboy love of Game of Thrones and the books it's based off of, but to me they're doing a good job balancing. As long as Peggy's story continues to be well written and interesting, I'd prefer it stays.

I could do without Betty though (or as much screen time with Meagan, for that matter0. And what the shit was up with that whole "rape" thing she got into with her niece or whatever. I think Henry's reaction to that was about the same as mine.

I do like Peggy. I'm not complaining about her still being on the show, so much as I am wondering what the point of splitting her off was.

I didn't get Betty's whole rape fantasy thing either. I guess it was to remind us the 60s were a different time, when rape was still hilarious to women?

I'm not sure that's true. Her husband seemed pretty shocked about it as well.

I want more time with Joan. And some more screen time for Sally wouldn't hurt my feelings either

Definitely more Joan. And more Bert! Bert is the best.

Sally is a mixed bag. Sometimes she's interesting, other times she's just as obnoxious as Betty.

Bert's getting old. The actor is 81 years old. I love the character, but I'm guessing that Robert Mose's age is why we're not seeing more of him.

I agree that Sally is a mixed bag, but that's because she's got Don's better qualities while she's being raised by Betty. I'd like to see more of that struggle play out.

I'm afraid that the writers don't know what to do with Joan. They've created this character, elevated her as much as they can and written her out of her divorce to Dr. Rapeface. The vibe I'm getting from the writers when it comes to Joan is "well, shit. Now what?"

The twist at the end of that last episode kinda came out of nowhere. I liked it though.

I do too. They almost have me interesting in watching again.

Plus, putting Don and Peggy back together would revive my favorite character dynamic

This week on Mad Men:

Pete's downward spiral continues
Don gets creepy
Bob Benson goes from being awkward comic relief to a character I actually kinda like
Roger completely wins this episode with his only real scene
