Saw the trailer for this when I saw Paranormal Activity 4. Definitely want to see it.

Oh yeah, looks good. Didn't know that Mila Kunis was in it, though. Awesome. Very Happy

People don't realize there's like 40 Oz books out there. It's one of the original cash cow literary franchises.

I saw this, and it looked interesting, but really, it just made me kind of wish for a film version of Wicked. The book, not the watered-down pansy-ass musical.

I'm doubtful. I think a lot of people wouldn't even be aware it's a book. I think of those who are, most of those would think it's just a book, maybe a few of them would know it's a series, but I don't think a lot of people would know it's a 41 book series.

I knew it was a series because I bothered to look it up one time, but Satsui's right. There aren't a lot of people (at least around me) that know it's a book, let alone an expansive series.

I don't know if hte movie will be any good, but the trailer reinforces my desire to bang Mila Kunis.

I only learned that there was more than just the one book in my Lit class last Spring myself. Never been super interested in Wizard of Oz so I never even read the book until then. This movie looks cool though. Plus, as has been stated, Mila Kunis. That makes it worth watching alone.

The books written after the death of Baum could probably be avoided and you won't miss much. Though that still leaves 12 books virtually untouched by film, return to oz notwithstanding. You would think people would snatch that shit up the material is right there.

They tried with Return to Oz, which I think is most famous for being creepy as fuck.

There's apparently been a whole lot of movie adaptions of some of the other books, but none of them really caught on.

Yeah return to Oz is a hodgepodge of the first two book sequels so it feels a bit off at parts

A young Fairuza Balk actually plays Dorothy in Return to Oz. Freaky.

I don't know about this. The CGI looks shitastic, and I really really don't like red lipstick. I understand it's a period piece or whatever, but Mila Kunis is gorgeous, and nothing about her is doing it for me in this trailer.

I dunno, Mila Kunis actually looks like an actual adult woman in this as opposed to a teenager, so I'm pleased.

I really don't care for Mila Kunis or her acting. I kinda like James Franco though.

This, honestly. Other than That 70s Show and Family Guy (and I don't even really pay attention to her in the former, most of the time), I have yet to see anything with Mila Kunis that I really liked. I super dug James Franco in 127 Hours, though.
