I saw this at a matinee yesterday.

I had read nothing but bad reviews about it and that it was lazy writing, and all that fun stuff. Perhaps I was confusing the reviews with House At The End of the Street...

I was expecting to be disappointed, unimpressed, and just think why did they make a sequel to an otherwise great movie.

Turns out there are other places to take the franchise. It wasn't ground breaking or anything, but it held it's own. I left not thinking I had wasted my money, which is a big plus.

To think, at the tender age of 56 Liam Neeson became an action star.

There's hope for all of us Smile

What did you guys think of the movie?

You know, you're the first person I've heard give this a good review. Maybe I'll look into it.

I have to ask though: does Liam do another phone scene? Because he should totally have done another phone scene. Nod

I didn't like the first one. I doubt I'll go see this in theatres.

Can we consider the fact that just this year, Liam Neeson has played a guy who punches wolves in The Grey, Zeus in Wrath of the Titans, the admiral in Battleship, and now Taken 2. Whatever became of Oskar Schindler?

As an aside, I do think that The Grey was a good movie, I just wish that Liam Neeson would start acting again.

Acting in an action movie is no less noble an endeavor than acting in an action film. It's all calling up emotions that aren't yours, and playing pretend.

Ghandi, I can't even count how many times you've made a new topic when an existing topic is on the first page already.

I like action movies, but I thought that Taken was one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. I'm not saying that Liam Neeson is being less than "noble," he's just being in terrible movies that don't require anything of him, and the opportunity cost is that he's not making good movies.

He seems to be agreeing to everything lately. The rumor I heard is it's because he recently lost his wife, so he just wants to constantly work so that he doesn't have to dwell on the loss.

Taken was a ridiculous, yet fun movie. I look forward to watching the sequel, and hope it's as stupid and enjoyable as the last. Liam Neeson kicking ass is so damn fun to watch.

I can't take Liam Neeson seriously after seeing him on Life's Too Short.

There's this gorgeous French movie that isn't anywhere near as good as The Man From Nowhere but has an actor that looks like Liam Nelson lol: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0884335/
