So a Tupac projection performed at Coachella 2012. I've seen the Hatsune Miku concerts before so I realize this isn't new technology but it was a projection of a real person and not some manga character so I was pretty awestruck when I saw it because it looked really good.

I wonder if they will use this for Michael Jackson or Elvis concerts. I am sure they could make a bit of money with them.

Pretty cool. It would be interesting to see some other artists like this. I'd probably be willing to go to a Johnny Cash or an Elvis one.

I was just reading a story about how the projection of Tupac might be going on tour with Dre and Snoop.
Also, the projection was originally going to be Nate Dogg, but they changed it at the last minute.

What i am curious about is how does this work?
Like not the whole projection thing but i am nearly sure the hologram said "coachella" at one point. Well Tupac would have had to have played there for him to say that word but it only existed as a festival from 1999 so is it some sort of voice recognition software or something?
If that's the case and they can make "tupac" say things he hasn't said before surely this raises the question of they could do anything with this.
They have a walking, talking hologram Tupac. Could probably record a new album with his voice if they desired. Although it's semi-unrealistic, the possibility exists.

If you think about it, it's insane. We'll probably see Nirvana again, Jimi Hendrix and all the people.

Apparently Suge Knight shot at the hologram in anger.
