Finally a decent article on the plagiarizing debate. I love the example the give with comparing Ironman to Batman.

I can't tell you how happy I am that Collins was actually inspired by the story of Theseus. That was the first connection I drew when I heard the concept of this story. I didn't think Battle Royale til I actually started watching the movie.

Battle Royale, while having a pretty good story, was more about the gorn. I REALLY doubt that's the case with Hunger Games.

I didn't want to post in here until after I read the series.

My girlfriend and I went and saw it before reading the books (which is a big shock for her, but not so much for me), and we both THOROUGHLY enjoyed the movie. I'll admit that I was one of the 20+ year old guys who cried. As soon as the movie ended, we rushed out and bought the series.

I read all three books in a weekend. I have never, ever read so rabidly in my whole life. I'm dying to see the next movies.

I of course noticed things that were missing, but I found the differences inconsequential. The book honestly felt like the adaptation of the movie.

I thought Ms. Lawrence was perfect as Katniss, and I think Josh Hutcherson was the perfect choice for pulling off the innocence and naivete of Peeta. And Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Lenny Kravitz were PERFECT.

Loved the movie, and the books. WOO!
