Keep an open mind while listening to this.
Apparently this song is going to be on their new album for 2011, but this album will not be featuring the "Lullaby for the Sadist" song they've been talking about

It's an all right dubstep hybrid. I wouldn't turn it off, but I'm not going to go out of my way to hear this.

This video is annoying as shit, btw.

Sounds like Korn trying too hard to sound like NIN.

They've been playing this on the radio for like two months, it's merely ok.

All Korn videos are annoying.

As long as they don't sound like Korn anymore, I'm down with it.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I like Korn and this song is merely okay. I've heard it a few times on the radio, but I'm just not a fan of dubstep. This song sounds way too Linkin Park for me.

I like Korn because they're definitely unique, there's never been a band so easily identifiable.

I like this but Korn aren't really Korn anymore. They haven't been for some time. The last time Korn was actually Korn was probably at Untouchables.

Korn was so ten years ago. And I didn't like them then either.

I hate Korn fans more so than Korn itself. The self loathing, all black wearing douchebags that used to hang outside the arcade when I wanted to play Galaga or the Neo Geo cabinet. I got in a fight with one of them when I was 16 because he hissed at me and called me a fag for no reason. I got in his face and he went to push me and I broke his nose. He bled everywhere, I laughed and ran like a bastard. What pussies.

This is a very different experience of Korn fandom then I had, though I have been a fan, a little less in recent years, since the beginning, seeing them for the first time when they opened for Ozzy in Hershey, Pa. We were dressed not in all black, but a fair amount, as well as Adidas, but were not homophobic and were really just disenfranchised (hope I spelled that right) kids. I will say though I imagine that if you are younger as they gained popularity then "Korn" fans at that point were more Nu-Metal fans or "Limp Bizkit" fans, and thus contained a certain amount of douche in the mix of ok people, in which case I hope his nose burst like a water balloon filled with cherry jello

Ah, Brostep at it's finest. Pretty much the quintessential Brostep track. LOL!

I dig Skrillex, though, really like the Electro he produces.

Can't really blame 'em, though, Dubstep is blowing up, even Britney Spears abuses that shit in Hold It Against Me lol. Hell, electronic music in general has been blowing up in the past year. I'm not complaining as it's my favorite music and now if the shitty normal radio is on at least some pop music becomes semi-bearable.

Okay bump from hell but i didn't want to make a new thread just for this.

I saw Korn last night at small venue at my University. Probably about 700 people at it.

Their set list has been pretty unchanging the whole of their tour:

Old and Rarities
Predictable
Lies
No Place to Hide
Good God

New Album
Narcissistic Cannibal
Kill Mercy Within
Chaos Lives in Everything
My Wall
Get Up!
Way Too Far

Greatest Hits
Here to Stay
Freak on a Leash
Falling Away From Me
Another Brick in the Wall
(Pink Floyd cover)

Encore:
Shoots and Ladders / One
Got the Life
Blind

It was an interesting concert. The doors opened at 7pm but my car had broken down so i had to wait for it to be sorted and we arrived at about 8pm.

We arrived and the first set was being played by Jonathan Davis who has a DJ set under "J-Devil".

It was basically a house/dubstep set. It was okay and Davis was really into it. Throwing himself around the stage.

Then there was a very quick turnover to Downlink who had a pure dubstep set. I really enjoyed it. I never really listened to dubstep and i really enjoy bass heavy music so it was a good set to hear and experience live.

Then after about 10mins Korn came on. Played the set above. It was actually very short which was disappointing, they played for hour and a half which is very short compared to most other gigs i go to. There wasn't a huge amount of crowd interaction really, Davis was the only one while the other guys pretty much stared at the floor.

The dubstep album stuff wasn't actually very dubsteppy. There wasn't a lot of wubwubwub it was more straight metal - by Korn standards.

Interestingly the crowd was old. Most older than i am. Late 20s-early 30s. Hell even some 40-50s. It was an over 18s gig but i expected more early 20s.

The sound at the venue wasn't great either. As much i love bass in music it sucks when it drowns out nearly everything else. This included basically all guitar. Guitar was only audible really on it's own solo sections.

However Korn guitar is generally downtuned such that it may not have been too noticable. However i would have liked a distinction.

However there was some good moments, like when Davis came out with the bagpipe. Another Brick in the Wall was good - even if you think it is basically sacrilegious for a band like Korn to cover Pink Floyd.

One was very short. It was just the "landmines have taken my sight...etc." part. No solo.

So overall it was an okay gig. Everyone performed well and it was good to see Korn play to a very small crowd, considering they play stadiums.

Korn has always tried to use current trends to push their sound forward.

They've also always sucked. So this combination doesn't surprise me.
