I'll be honest - while I picked the Steelers to win, I'm glad the Broncos did. Nice to see it. Guess I shoulda had more faith.
Anyways, scores are updated. Some observations. Tebow really kinda screwed everyone's chances of a perfect bracket here. Luckily not many people picked the Steelers to go too far. Atlanta's loss kind of hurt a few people, including Sidewaydriver who lost his chance at the Super Bowl win. 5 people are tied with 30 points, but @om*d, Pandajuice, and Username still have all 4 games live next week, while Ghandi and Tomdincan have lost one of them. Sidewaydriver is on track for last place, his bracket was destroyed...Lavalarva's bracket is in bad shape too, Beach Bum, while also at 10, still has several live games to try a comeback.

One thing bugs me...during the Broncos game, the Steelers threw a lateral that was dropped and recovered by Denver. It was ruled an incomplete pass, and because it was, even if it was reviewed and overturned Pittsburgh would have kept the ball because the play was whistled dead. That turnover stands, and there's no need for Jesus to get involved in overtime - Denver likely runs away with the game.

I definitely didn't do so hot. I should have guessed Atlanta would lose, but I figured maybe they'd learned from their past few one and done playoff appearances. Plus after the beating they gave Tampa last week I figured maybe they'd come in with some sort of momentum, instead they only score 2 points.
Hopefully I do better next week.

Yeah, I agree with this.
Steelers, with Big Ben, have proven Playoff experience and Tebow is the new kid on the block. All year they've kept him in a metaphorical cage not letting him do what he wanted. That game it looks like the coach said "Go have fun." and once into the 2nd Quarter the Steelers had little chance, especially with Ben's ankle bothering him.
Broncos should be much better next year if they keep Tebow as a Starter, and you know they will now

I am more uncertain about the games coming up than I was about any of the wildcard games. We shall see.

Well, that one fucked over a few brackets. Updated.
Someone can check my math, but I think this is down to Pandajuice and Klimbatize for the top prize. For Klim to win, he needs a New England win and a San Francisco loss. Otherwise, Pandajuice wins. Sucks that this is pretty much done in the third week, but that's the way it happens. We always have the battle for second place.
Our battle for last place is pretty interesting too. A win by the Pats gives Username the coveted $2 prize. The Ravens wins, and BeachBum and Lavalarva split it

Hmm figured Green Bay could win that but the Giants were a powerhouse out there today. I don't really care who plays the Pats, so long as they lose at some point and don't win another Super Bowl.

Please keep in mind the rules of the Sports Forum
And no, the Giants didn't win that game. Green Bay lost it when they decided not to show up for it.

I discovered I'm horrible at predicting this stuff.
I blame Tebow.

Well, this one is over, unfortunately.
Klimbatize comes out of nowhere and snags first place, which is doubled, so he gets $20. Pandajuice took second place and picks up a respectable $5. Lavalarva gets himself a cool $2 American for his last place finish. Make your own Canadian football joke and insert it here.
Winners please send me your e-mail addresses to claim your prizes.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I'm surprised so few people had faith in the Patriots. Don't let bias cloud your judgement!

Patriots vs the Giants.
I'm glad the Giants took out the 49ers because the 49ers knocked out my Saints
I find it really hard to bet against Brady, but since I didn't put themi n the big game, I guess I did bet against him after all.

Apparently nobody here likes money, I haven't gotten anyone's e-mail for which to send the gift cards to.

Go ahead and roll over my prize to the next contest Usa. Being in England, I can't really use an American gift card with any real convenience.

Even from Amazon? If you can't, then okay, but if you change your mind in the next 24 hours, I'll send it to you.
Otherwise, I roll it down and third place is...
...me. Well, that won't do.
The next person down is Username, who wins off tiebreakers (he picked 5 games right). So, Username, if you want your 5 bucks, PM me your email. Lava still needs to claim his prize too.

de-fault. the two greatest words in the english language.
actually, i think its very noble of panda to give up his prize and offer it to the next contest. i think rolling it over to the next contest would be the right course of action.
