A few weeks ago, Black Zarak and I were talking about toys and he claimed that he could name any Transformer just by looking at the weapon. He's a complete toy fanatic, so I don't doubt his claim, but I'd still like to put it to the test. And since the toy forum is in need of some serious loving, I invite the rest of you to post pictures of TF weapons for him to try and guess as well as to try and whose weapon it is yourself. I'll start:

Heh, sweet idea. I know there's a bag full of loose Transformers weapons in my parents' basement somewhere.

As for the current pic, I think I owned that one. Part of me wants to say the Powermaster Optimus Prime, but his main guns were black....so, Ultra Magnus???

I believe that is Hunn-Grr's gun, of the Terrorcons, also the weapon of their combined form, Abominus.

Yeah, just another useless talent of mine.

Gobots were cool in their own way, they used more die cast metal and for longer than Transformers, but they never quite caught on without a cartoon. I think they had one, but it either didn't last too long or never aired on television or maybe both...

Gobots did have a robot wearing a top hat though...

I just liked the motorcycle bad guy. I thought that was pretty badass.

As a kid I always liked little toys better, like legos and stuff, so I remember the only part about Optimus Prime that I was interested in was the little guy in his chest that popped out.

Haha, I had that toy. Almost guessed him too, but I remembered his gun as being teal, not grey.

Also, I enjoyed the Go-Bots cartoon, especially the character of Crasher and her special attack. Any of the main character toys were great, like Leader-1, Cy-Kill, Turbo, Scooter, plus any of the larger Go-Bots, like the futuristic car, or the Porsche. According to wikipedia, the show lasted 66 episodes, no short run by any means.

I'll try to start posting some gun pics once I visit my parents' house in a few days.

One of the individual Predacon's swords. I'm not sure which one, but since I think you've asked me about Tantrum (the bull) before, I'll say it's Tantrum's.

Edit: I was wrong! It's Headstrong, the rhino's. But I was right about it being a Predacon sword.

Yeah, I'm really bad like that. I can ID (at the worst, guess within a very close margin as you see) most any part from G1 on, even weird stuff like Japanese exclusives and whatnot.

Yeah, the Nike ones are pretty funny/cool. They even wear mini versions of the shoe they're patterned after in robot mode! There's an upcoming Optimus Prime iPod dock (basically a white Prime cab with a trailer that holds the dock and two small speakers), and a Soundwave MP3 player with optional Rumble and Frenzy headphones. And unlike the 80's toys, they actually work in their alt modes.

Unfortunately, no. They are about half the size of a real shoe from what I've heard and most of the inside space is used to conceal robot parts. They do have real laces you can tie up though.

Pssh, please. Blaster's rifle. And while I'm here, I'll name Blaster's cassettes; Rewind (robot), Eject (robot), Steeljaw (lion), Ramhorn (rhino), Rain Dance (robot), Grand Slam (jet). Also, Grand Slam and Rain Dance combine to form Slam Dance. Also, also, Blaster and Soundwave were both killed in Japan and rebuilt as Twincast and Soundblaster.

My parents combined to form Slam Dance 9 months before I was born.

And Scatman Crothers is dead so no chance of him sounding as cool as he did in G1.
