UGH.

No explanation will be given. If you don't know, consider yourself lucky.

When you Yahoo Search Juan Cena, somehow you get an image for the Last Supper. Where's the connection.

Okay, long story short: John Cena was forced to join heel stable Nexus after losing a match to Nexus Leader Wade Barrett. At Survivor Series, Cena was the special referee in a match between Barrett and WWE Champion Randy Orton. Barrett told Cena to help him win or he'd be fired. Cena didn't do that. Instead, he shoved Barrett into an RKO and Orton retained. Cena was promptly fired the next night (i.e. last Monday) on RAW.

The WWE bookers then quickly decided that having their top star kayfabe fired wasn't so keen an idea, so they announced the signing of Juan Cena, John Cena's Mexican cousin. He wrestles exactly like Cena, but he wears a mask. He appeared at a house show over the weekend and could appear on TV as early as tonight.

Oh...migod...can't breathe...laughing too hard...

That might be the most hilariously bad angle of all time. I may actually watch next week just to see how this plays out. Classic.

It would be better if the angle was pulled off, as several photoshops on dirtsheets have shown, by giving Cena a sombrero and fake moustache.

This angle will fail if there is no accordion in his theme music.

Ranchero theme FTW.

I dunno these seems like it might be a house show deal and not a tv angle. As john cena is appearing on tv, with some frequency.

Didn't Kurt Angle back in the day, dress up as a luchadore and made Eddie Guirrero lose his title match?

Does anyone remember Edge & Christian as the masked "Conquistadors"?

Yeah, they changed their plans, due to negative internet reception after the idea was leaked and his first house show appearance.

Let's also not forget when Hulk Hogan was Mr. America, and passed a lie detector test as Mr. America saying that he wasn't Hulk Hogan. And then Hogan left and the angle was dropped without resolution.

It was resolved.....sorta. Hulk would usually take up his mask at the end of taping and shh the crowd *winkwink.* When Hogan left they merely said that Vince kept the cameras rolling and "caught" hogan revealing himself. Sloppy yes, but still an explanation.

Good rule of thumb, when something is dropped entirely something went wrong.
