Robert Earl Keen - Gringo Honeymoon
I'd have to love my wife-to-be so much and her the same that our whole life together was a great big honeymoon.
If that doesn't work I;d take The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice
And if that doesn't work I'll settle for Billy Idol's White Wedding
However if those songs fail which they may...I have two backup plans...one is to try to sing Sinatra songs. The other is:
"All You Need Is Love"
|
"Anybody who ever built an empire, or changed the world, sat where you are now. And it’s because they sat there that they were able to do it."
"Fighting in a basement offers a lot of difficulties, number one being, you're fighting in a basement."
"You're Not So Tough Without Your Veggie!" |

I'll quote Keith Richards on "All you need is love" as he was being interviewed by Kurt Loder.
KL - Were you ever seduced by flower power and all that?
KR- No, I mean you pay a fair amount of lip service to it at the time, peer pressure etc. But I am quite proud I never did go kiss the Maharishi's goddamn feet, ya know?
KL - Does it all seem pretty funny to you now?
KR - Absolutely. I mean it was like theater of the ridiculous. If it hadn't been promoted so hard, like by the Beatles especially, maybe it wouldn't have reached the insane proportions that it got to. The basic drive behind it, I suppose one had to like. But the amount of people suckered into it....
KL - Like "All you need is love"
KR - Yeah, try livin' off it.
No offense to you IceWarm, or the song for that matter, just thought it was a funny interview. The whole thing and more can be read in "Bat Chain Puller" by Kurt Loder - 1990 St. Martins Press[/i]

Cacophony - Burn the Ground
Neil Young - Down by the River
Soundgarden - Burden in my Hand
In all seriousness, I do not know, I don't think it would be up to me. I probably wouldn't care, the dance would mean a lot more to her than to me.

Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You
I would like to have something that would get me out of a commitment.
Breaking Benjamin - Evil Angel
Same reason as above
Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall
Just to add an extra touch of sadness
Seether - The Gift
One of my all time favorite songs in the genre of Alternative Rock, I like that song
Women ruin peoples lives, kids finish it off by making you lose all your money. Be wise fellow man, do not fall trick to the woman race.

"Oh sweet zombie Jesus!!!"
In all seriousness, mine would probably be either Eyes on Me from FFVIII, Stairway to Heaven, or 2 Minutes to Midnight

Or "Fuck Her Gently" by Tenacious D.
Or on a serious note, Tesla's "Love Song". Or The Cure's "Love Song", which is a completely different but equally uncreatively titled song.

"Untitled" by the Smashing Pumpkins might make a good one.
Their "Stand Inside Your Love", as Cam mentioned, or "Let Me Give the World to You", would also make good choices, even though the lyrics are a bit cliche. I still can't resist the power of SIYL despite its trite and predictable lines.
