You consider yourself a Tetris master? Then here's an interesting challenge for you:
http://www.firstpersontetris.com/
It plays like regular Tetris, the catch is that you play from the blocks' point of view, that is, spinning moves the entire world around you, which can be disorienting, and also invert the controls.
And if you still think that's easy, then play it on night mode, in which the blocks are the only thing you see on the screen.
Have fun now.

That is an interesting version. A bit nauseating if you play a while though.
There is a version of Tetris that combines Super Mario Bros. with it that is pretty good too. Here is the link if anybody wants to try it:

If you are really bored and a masochist you can try this version of Tetris too. It is insanely large and will take an hour just to complete one line.

I enjoyed that first game, clever gimmick but not something I'd come back to. That Mario/Tetris hybrid, on the other hand, is absolute genius. What an incredible idea and execution of a puzzler. I need to see what other games this guy has done, because that was very cool.

That is the most inconvenient implementation of Tetris I've ever seen, next to the Atari arcade version. The ARE is too low for the lock delay (which is awful), the floor and wall kick rules are unintuitive, the randomizer threw me 5 Z-pieces in a row, topout applies at the 19th and 20th rows instead of 20th only, and there's only one rotation button. Of all of those, why didn't the author at least do something about that last one?
Not to mention that that isn't first-person else we'd be looking down the well.

I also need to note, that masochist Tetris was not fun at all. I was literally going through the game as fast as I could with no real strategy, just to build tension. Of course, after 5 minutes...I still had about maybe 10% of the first row covered. Fuck that.

I cleared one line in 14'40". That's one thing I can cross off my to-do list.

First off... yeah, that's not what first person means.
Second, the gimmick doesn't affect me much at all, but only being able to rotate one direction, plus the low speed the game works at, means it'll get nigh impossible around level 10 or so.
Third, night mode is pretty neat. I wish they didn't cripple the controls by making you only able to rotate one direction. If they hadn't, it'd be a realy fun variant.

I played night mode on my first try and had a time figuring any of it out. The lights switched on when I finally lost and infuriated me when they did.

that HD tetris is BS. theres nothing fun about it.
the first person tetris is a neat idea, but needs a tad clean up for better execution

Would standard Tetris be Third Person or Second Person? |
Regular Tetris is first-person. If you're watching someone play Tetris and you're controlling that person, that would be third-person. Second-person would be if you're watching yourself from behind the well.
This so-called first-person Tetris is just fixed-reticule, fixed-rotation Tetris.
