No offense, but who gives a crap?

You have the typical "Look at me! I listen to hard rock because I own all the stereotypical albums and artists!" CD list, sprinkled with stuff you probably heard on college radio or from someone who actually goes to a lot of concerts.

It's a very solid collection, but I was a little surprised by some of the stuff that wasn't there... No GN'R Lies? No Dookie? No Astro-Creep: 2000? No Core?

Danzig!

coheed and cambria!

and I HIGHLY suggest "Metroplolis Pt. II: Scenes from a Memory" by Dream Theater. Best CD in the universe, as well as The Offspring's self titled album, and get yourself "Project 1950" by the Misfits.

emerson, lake, and palmer is good too.

EDIT: OH GOD! how did I forget clutch?

download clutch, they are all kinds of amazing.

I highly recommend "blast tyrant" "robot hive/exodus" and "pure rock fury"

EDIT EDIT:

corrosion of conformity is great too:

I'm with Spanky on this one, I dunno why we're supposed to care. If I did care, however, I'd say that you probably shouldn't be so eager to let everyone know you have 4 Flogging Molly albums and only one Rolling Stones one.

Well, the forum is called Music. It's for discussing music. And that's what's being done.

"Why am I supposed to care?" is a rather mean-spirited thing to say. It's also a rather dumb thing to say since it doesn't apply to this thread any more than any other. Why should you care about Z-Bots? Why should you care about Adventure Island 4? Why should you care about Marvel Civil War? Why should you care about anything we talk about on the site?

If you're into Alice In Chains, I'd recommend both Facelift and Jar of Flies.

For Pearl Jam, I'd say check out Vs.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by the Chili Peppers is awesome, You should also consider checking out their new CD, Stadium Arcadium.

For Foo Fighters, I'd go with The color and the Shape.

And I agree with Syd, you should definitely check out Core.

I'm with you on all that except for the Chili Peppers' new disk. The Chili Peppers have become sellout bitches. Their new music is monotonous and is a mockery of their work pre-2000's. Nothing they've written the past few years is as good as the worst track from Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Good choice. Within Temptation is one of my favorite Gothic Metal bands. And Sharon's vocals are the most beautiful female vox EVER. What other Gothic bands are you a fan of?

it's not so much the gothic thign that gets me hard as the female singer. I love a good female voice, wether it be full on oparetic, or some gook chick singing catchy pop songs.

got any suggestions of bands like within temptation though? I've got a bit of leaves eyes and nightwish floating around on my ipod somewhere, but that's probably it.

on the metal side I've been listening to amaran and power symphony.

They're not really like those bands, but Warlock is a slightly older metal band that had a female singer.

Try After Forever or Dreams of Sanity, or, if you like Leaves Eyes, try Theater of Tragedy, as that was where Liv Kristine Espenæs, Leaves' vocalist, started.
