Am I alone in the idea that curling is possibly the best sport ever to be put on television? While I don't get to view it regularly, during the Winter Olympics curling get played almost constantly and USA. Though I should hat this sport, I can't help but be mezmerized for hours. I literally don't get anything done when it comes on, its almost like some sick jedi mind trick telling me I have to enjoy it. Does anyone else get this experience during the Winter Olympics?

Me: Alex, I'll take Idioms of Boredom for $800 please.
Alex: This is really boring
Me: What is watching paint dry?
Alex: Correct, pick again.
Me: I'll take Idioms of Boredom for $1000.
Alex: Watching this will make you fall asleep.
Me: What is watching grass grow?

Alex: Oh, I'm sorry, we were looking for "What is curling?"

I might actually want to try curling if there were an arena less than 300km away.
And I always do something else at the same time I watch curling. Those match can be so damn long.
Canada will also probably get a medal from it too. We need at least 1 fucking gold this time dammit.

As much as I love the USA, I have always rooted for Canada when it comes to two things: ice hockey, and curling.
Hockey because they're fucking amazing at it, and with the Olys being at home for them, I'm praying they can win a hockey gold.
Curling, I root for them just because they make my favorite beer.

I used to hate on curling a lot... at least until this last summer Olympics when I saw the Powerwalk.
Curling, at least in my mind, has been deemed legitimate, although I still don't really care to watch it.

I've curled a few times, and its really difficult. If you like shuffleboard, its a lot like that and you have to be WAY more accurate. Granted, its still not THAT entertaining.

Don't any of you dare insult the great sport of curling, lest our Canadian Brothers sweep the ice furiously at you!

Wow, you guys are a riot. There's a curling rink in town. My old high school has a team. Still boring. And fuck the Olympics. I saw Suzie McNeil, who's doing the 2010 theme song, on Friday and when she asked the audience if they were excited for the Olympics, she got a very cold response. She doesn't have to live among the poor planning, and spiking taxes and construction EVERYWHERE and all the homeless people being relocated out of Vancouver and shipped to shitty little towns nobody cares about, especially Chilliwack. FUCK 2010.

We still pay for Montreal 1976 because the budget was so fucked up.
And at least you won't get a fucking ugly stadium that'll become useless after a few years (snow is heavy? OMG!) and still cost a shitton of money to maintain.
