I was reading the reviews for the top 100 SNES games, and I was dumbfounded to figure out that one of my all time favorite games, Earthbound, wasn't even on the list!! Earthbound is one of the greatest SNES games ever!!

Found it. Number 9. Should be like 3 or something. My fault though. I hear that if you were to download a GBA emulator, you can then download the rom for Mother 3, which is actually Earthbound 2, and then from a website called, "Starman.net", and download the english patch, and then BLAM! You got a new, badass Earthbound adventure.

Actually, Mother 3 is technically Earthbound 3. Mother is the Japanese name for the Earthbound series. The series progression goes like this:
NES - Earthbound (Mother)
SNES - Earthbound (Mother 2)
GBA - Mother 3
However, since the NES prototype of the original Earthbound was not dumped and made available to the emulation community until long after the release of the SNES sequel, the NES Earthbound is generally referred to as Earthbound Zero.

Earthbound is as high on the SNES list as it can reasonably be, some would say generously high. It is a well-written, quirky game, but the graphics are severely albeit intentionally unimpressive

Earthbound is one of my favorite SNES games.... but ccompared to some other SNES RPGs like Chrono Trigger or the Final Fantasy games, it had some of the shittiest character development I've seen.
