I was going to send this straight to Syd since I know that updating the boards is a current project anyway, but I figured I'd ask and see if people wanted this feature:
On some boards I go to, the icon for the thread not only shows whether there are new posts and such, but it will also show which threads you've posted in. I really like this feature and was wondering if other people would want this as well.

Jeebus,

Do me a favor, please link to a forum that has this feature so that I can see it in action.

I'll have a much better idea if we can do it when I can see it.

www.mtgsalvation.com

You'll have to register and post somewhere to see it, obviously. The forums on www.wizards.com also use it.

I was just thinking of this. Yes, do this if you can.

One thing I'd kinda like, and I don't know if this possible, is expanded profile pages. It would be neat if profile pages could be made more MySpace-y.

Isn't that kind of what the Wiki is for?

The wiki is more like a biography. I'm thinking of something less content driven. With a wall.

Look, MySpace blocked Playlist.com, okay? I want somewhere to put my music player.

Damn it...

Syd, what are your thoughts on paying for vBulletin software?

It is by far the best forum software I have ever used. It is the easiest to maintain, it is the easiest to run, it has the best support, and I'm pretty sure that every feature mentioned here is in it.

It isn't free, but it isn't really expensive. If everyone threw in $2 to Syd, it would be paid for.

This isn't what I'm talking about though. When I open each part of the forums, it's not uncommon to skip over a thread forgetting that I had replied to it in the past. There's no reason not to have both functions.
