Does anyone remember this game from the mid-nineties or so? I found it in my parents attic this month (along with a bunch of other shit I'll be debuting here soon) and remembered that I actually only played it once.

It was the basic premise of "Mousetrap" but took way longer to set up, and there were more traps to kill your little grape guy, which you made out of play-dough with the included grape sculptor. It was fun but I think we only played it once due to the fact that it took an hour to set up and I also got Descent II for PC the same year.

So basically, use this thread to discuss any 90's board games that are no longer in production. Though if Grape Escape is still produced I'd be surprised.

I always liked Fireball Island, after seeing the TV commercial I had to own it. Crossfire was also endlessly fun.

Fireball Island? Sounds like a tropical themed gay bar.

You mean the tropically themed gay bar that you went to last night?

Sorry I'm just fresh out of insults tonight.

Crossfire was heavenly.

Sweet analysis. I saw that too when reading down this thread.

I've never played Crossfire, but it always looked fun and my friends and I still quote the commercial... well, the "CROSSFIRE!" part of it anyway.

I was so excited by the Grape Escape ad to buy the game but it turned out to be really crap. You just roll the dice and move forward the right number of spots. No skill whatsoever.

Wasn't "Thin Ice" the game where you just stacked a bunch of shit on toilet paper till it broke?

IIRC, yes. Or was that the game where you had the marbles and the little sticks and you had to pull the sticks away until the marbles fell through?

I actually had Fireball Island, I had a blast with it as a kid. Hero Quest was also a game I had but never figured out how to play it.

I vaguely remember that game. I might or might not have played that game, but I remember the commercials quite well.

Edit: And I don't think I've played Crossfire, but I also remember the commercial very well:

I believe we had The Grape Escape. My sister wanted it for some reason. I remember playing it maybe once and thinking it was a pretty lame game.
